Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor from mayor.dc.gov biography; Attorney General from oag.dc.gov About OAG; Council Chairman, at-large and ward councilmembers from https://dccouncil.gov/councilmembers/ and each member's dccouncil.gov page (term and political affiliation as printed there), retrieved 2026-10-15. DC has no state level: the Council and Mayor are the local and state-equivalent government; the elected Attorney General is recorded as municipal. DC municipal offices are partisan (party as printed on the member page).
  • Federal: Delegate from the Office of the Clerk member page (https://clerk.house.gov/members/N000147; @unitedstates legislators-current.json agrees: term 2025-01-03 to 2027-01-03). No clerk photo found; photoUrl null. DC has no U.S. Senators or voting Representative.
  • Shadow delegation (Strauss, Jain, Owolewa): no official roster reachable — dcboe.org is behind a Cloudflare JS challenge (robots.txt itself returns the challenge); not bypassed. Rows sourced from each person's Wikipedia article and flagged unofficial: true.
  • Candidates: the official DCBOE 'General Election Candidates in Ballot Order' (https://www.dcboe.org/elections/2026-elections) and electionresults.dcboe.org were unreachable (Cloudflare challenge, HTTP 403) on 2026-10-15. All 2026 general-election candidates come from the general-election tables / certified-candidate summary on the Wikipedia race pages (/wiki/ paths only, robots.txt checked) and carry unofficial: true (incumbents: candidateUnofficial: true). Re-verify against the DCBOE ballot-order list before treating as certified. Write-ins and primary losers excluded.
  • Incumbents running for a different office: Janeese Lewis George (Ward 4) for Mayor; Robert C. White, Jr. (at-large) for Delegate; Oye Owolewa (Shadow Representative) for at-large Councilmember. Their current seats stay on the record as elected rows marked incumbent-running with runningFor. Ward 3 (Matt Frumin) has no ballot opponent — the only unopposed contest found.
  • At-large council: two seats are up; DC law lets only one of them go to a member of the majority party (Democratic). Elissa Silverman (Independent) won the 2026-06-16 special election for the McDuffie seat (term printed on dccouncil.gov: 07/17/2026 – 01/02/2027) and is on the general ballot. Anita Bonds is retiring. Ward 8's Trayon White, Sr. was re-elected in the 2025-07-15 special after his February 2025 expulsion (term printed 08/08/2025 – 01/02/2029).
  • Mayor and Attorney General party (Democratic) is not printed on mayor.dc.gov / oag.dc.gov; it is taken from the Wikipedia race pages ('Incumbent Democratic mayor Muriel Bowser', 'Incumbent Democratic attorney general Brian Schwalb').
  • Official emails recorded are the dccouncil.gov office addresses printed on each member page and oag@dc.gov; no phones or addresses copied. Photos are linked from dccouncil.gov (og:image), never copied; the site states '© Copyright 2016, The Council of the District of Columbia. All rights reserved' — no reuse grant. Next DC general election after 2026: November 2028 (the 2025-2029 Council seats).
