Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle and Council Seats 1-6 from https://www.cityofvancouver.us/government/mayor-and-city-council/mayor-and-council-bios/ (seat numbers and current terms) and the Mayor and City Council page https://www.cityofvancouver.us/departments/mayor-city-council/ ('seven members, including the Mayor, who are elected at large for a four-year term'; council/manager form), retrieved 2026-10-22. cityofvancouver.us robots.txt: 'User-agent: * Disallow:' (all allowed). The charter creates no other city-wide elected office. Offices are nonpartisan, so party is null. Sarah J. Fox is Mayor Pro Tem.
  • Next municipal election: the Mayor and Seats 1-3 were elected November 4, 2025 (terms 2026-2029); Seats 4, 5 and 6 (terms 2024-2027) are due at the next odd-year general, November 2, 2027 (Washington's statutory odd-year general date, computed, not read from a published 2027 list). No Vancouver city office or measure appears on the SOS GENERAL 2026 list.
  • Districts covering the city: the Census geocoder coordinates endpoint (no robots.txt — 404) was sampled on a 12x12 grid over the city's bounding box (49 points inside 'Vancouver city'): WA-3 49 of 49; LD-49 36, LD-17 13. City Hall (queried by coordinates 45.6272, -122.6743) is WA-3, LD-49 Senate and House. The grid is coarse (~2 km) and could miss slivers (e.g. of LD-18 at the northern edge). Only City Hall's LD-49 members are recorded, per the brief.
  • LD-17 2026 contests on the SOS list, not recorded as people: Pos. 1 Ben Christly (DEMOCRATIC) vs Kevin Waters (REPUBLICAN, incumbent); Pos. 2 Diana H. Perez (DEMOCRATIC; Vancouver Council Seat 3) vs David Stuebe (REPUBLICAN, incumbent). LD-17 Senator Paul Harris (Republican) is not up. Also on Vancouver ballots: Clark Public Utility District Commissioner District 3, Jane A. Van Dyke vs Gordon Matthews (nonpartisan).
  • Federal: sitting Representative from https://www.house.gov/representatives (Washington table: 'Perez, Marie | Washington 3rd | D'), retrieved 2026-10-22 (house.gov robots allows /representatives). Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (unitedstates.github.io: no robots.txt — 404). No federal photos linked.
  • State: Governor Bob Ferguson from https://governor.wa.gov/ (robots: User-agent * with standard Drupal disallows; home page allowed). LD-49 members from https://leg.wa.gov/legislators/ (no robots.txt — 404; data-district='49': Senator Annette Cleveland; Representatives Sharon Wylie and Monica Jurado Stonier, Majority Floor Leader; party printed 'Democrat'). Wylie's Position 1 from her member page; Stonier's Position 2 from the SOS list. Wylie did not file for 2026, so Pos. 1 is open.
  • Candidates: Washington Secretary of State VoteWA 'GENERAL 2026 (11/03/2026) Candidate List', https://voter.votewa.gov/CandidateList.aspx?e=899 (887 rows, read in full through the page's own 'Export to CSV' button on the same URL; voter.votewa.gov has no robots.txt — 404; no terms link on the page), retrieved 2026-10-22; every row used is Status 'Active'. Washington is top-two: party is the stated preference as printed (kept in ballotParty). WA-3: Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D, inc.) vs John Braun (R). LD-49 Pos. 1 (open): Kim D. Harless (D) vs Sarah Mittelman (R). LD-49 Pos. 2: Monica Jurado Stonier (D, inc.) vs Derek Thompson (R). No unopposed race among recorded seats. Primary losers and write-ins excluded.
  • Clark County: clark.wa.gov robots.txt (read first) allows /elections and /terms-of-use for '*' with Crawl-delay 10 (honoured); Terms of Use are a disclaimer with no reuse restriction. The county's Nov. 3, 2026 notice (https://clark.wa.gov/elections/nov-3-2026-general-and-special-election-important-information, published 2026-10-09) points to the voters' guide and sample ballot at clarkvotes.org, which was not opened; county offices (e.g. County Council, which the county files itself) are therefore not recorded.
  • Terms that restrict reuse: the City of Vancouver's Copyright Notice (https://www.cityofvancouver.us/policies/) reserves copyright and requires written permission to republish its text or graphics; only facts (names, seats, term years) are recorded and photos are linked, not copied. No other source states reuse terms.
  • No home or mailing addresses, phones or personal emails recorded (the SOS list prints mailing addresses, phones and emails; only campaign-domain emails were kept). standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read). Wikipedia, Ballotpedia and news were not used.
