Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Mayor and council (7) from City of Tucson — Mayor & Council and City Manager, and City Council Wards (tucsonaz.gov, read 2026-10-22). tucsonaz.gov returns Akamai 'Access Denied' to curl (robots.txt included) but was readable through WebFetch; treat as tier B. Photo URLs linked from that page, not copied. No other city-wide elected office under the charter.
- Tucson council elections are partisan, but no City page read prints a party, and the 2023 official results summary (tucsonaz.gov) lists candidates without party — so party is null on municipal rows, not 'None'.
- No City of Tucson candidate election in 2026. Per the City Clerk's Elections page, the 2026-11-03 city special election (consolidated with Pima County's general) has only Propositions 421 and 422. Next municipal election: 2027 (odd years) — Mayor and Wards 1, 2, 4; primary/general dates not posted yet (the Clerk's candidate listing said as of 2026-09-11 that no one had qualified for the 2027 primary). Wards 3, 5, 6 next elected 2029 (Ward 6 term to Dec 2029 per the ward page).
- Candidates from Pima County Elections '2026 General Election Official Candidate List' (PDF, 'UPDATED: 9/9/2026 8:00 AM'), linked from pima.gov/elections; content.civicplus.com robots.txt allows /api/assets/*. Party codes as printed: DEM, REP, LBT (Libertarian), GRN (Green), NOL (No Labels), PND (Party Not Designated). The list prints no addresses; nothing personal copied. Write-in list not used.
- Governor/Lt. Governor run as joint tickets for the first time; the list prints each governor then running mate: Hobbs (DEM) / John Giles (PND), Biggs / Sine Kerr (REP), Lombardo / Lisa Castillo (GRN), Hourihan (NOL) / Angela Harrolle Mohan (PND). Running mates recorded in runningMate, not as separate rows.
- LD 20 (City Hall): all three sitting members are on the ballot and none faces an opponent — Rep. Alma Hernandez for State Senate (only candidate), Sen. Sally Ann Gonzales and Rep. Betty Villegas for the two House seats (two candidates, vote for 2). Counted as unopposed = 3.
- State legislators: azleg.gov member roster, member pages and apps.azleg.gov (robots Disallow: /) are now behind a Sucuri JavaScript challenge — not bypassed. Membership taken from the azleg.gov Member Roster as shown in the search-engine index (Gonzales 20 D, mailbox SGONZALES; Alma Hernandez 20 D, mailbox AHERNANDEZ; Betty J Villegas 20 D), corroborated by directly-read azleg.gov PDFs (30 Jan 2026 HHS committee-of-reference agenda naming 'Senator Sally Ann Gonzales' and 'Representative Alma Hernandez'; Villegas-signed SB 1670 amendment, 20 Mar 2026). Villegas mailbox not seen, email null. azleg.gov crawl-delay 120 s honoured loosely (4 requests).
- Districts covering Tucson (share of city land, by point-sampling ~13,200 grid points of the TIGERweb 'Tucson city' polygon against 120th-Congress and 2026 state-legislative polygons): AZ-6 53.5%, AZ-7 46.5%; LD21 37.2%, LD20 20.4%, LD17 17.8%, LD19 12.0%, LD18 10.4%, LD16 2.2%. City Hall (255 W Alameda St) geocodes to AZ-7 and LD 20 (Census Geocoder). Only LD 20 members listed.
- Federal: Senators from the Official Congressional Directory (GPO, 20 Feb 2026); Kelly (term to 2029) and Gallego (to 2031) — no U.S. Senate race in Arizona in 2026 (none on the Pima list). Representatives from the House Clerk's MemberData.xml (1 Oct 2026). The Feb 2026 Directory still shows AZ-7 '[vacant]'; MemberData gives Adelita S. Grijalva sworn 12 Nov 2025. No member photos linked.
- Governor Hobbs: sitting status from an Arizona House news release (16 Jan 2026) — azgovernor.gov and azsos.gov return Cloudflare challenges. Arizona SOS candidate list and the Citizens Clean Elections voter guide (azcleanelections.gov) are Cloudflare-challenged; not bypassed. Hence no candidate statements: standsFor null throughout, and no candidate websites recorded.
