Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • City Hall is 1201 7th Street South (the former Tech High School, per the Mayor's page and the Local Election Filings page); an earlier lookup at 400 2nd St S was discarded. Candidates: Minnesota SOS MyBallotMN sample-ballot data (robots.txt 404) for the range containing City Hall (prodAddressRangeId 323894: precinct ST CLOUD W1 P5, Stearns County, CD 6, SD 14, HD 14A, election 8334 '11/03/2026 STATE GENERAL ELECTION'), retrieved 2026-11-01. Ward 2, 3 and 4 council races read from other St. Cloud precincts' sample ballots (ranges 107217, 1987, 799). Write-ins skipped. 'DEMOCRATIC-FARMER-LABOR' stored as party 'Democratic-Farmer-Labor', partyShort 'Democratic'. Governor/Lt Governor tickets one row per person. Campaign websites as printed on the ballot data.
  • Municipal candidates cross-checked against the City Clerk's 'Local Election Filings' page (filing closed June 2, 2026; 'The candidate listing below is final'): Ward 1 Dave Masters, Dreyton Nichols, Charlie Hobbs; Ward 2 Karen A. Larson; Ward 3 Hudda Ibrahim and others. Nichols is not on the general-election ballot (primary, August 11). The filings page prints home addresses, phones and emails: none copied. MyBallotMN labels every ward race 'Special Election for Council Member'; why (e.g. a term or cycle change) is not stated on the pages read — recorded as printed.
  • Not recorded as rows (brief scope): Secretary of State, State Auditor, Attorney General, Stearns County offices, Soil & Water supervisors, ISD 742 School Board (elect 3), Supreme Court / Court of Appeals / 7th District judges, Constitutional Amendment 1; HD-14B (Dorholt DFL v Ek R; sitting member Dan Wolgamott, DFL, per the House list — not on the 2026 ballot for 14B).
  • Sitting members: Emmer from house.gov/representatives; Putnam (SD-14) from the Minnesota Senate member feed; Perryman (HD-14A) from house.mn.gov/members/list; official legislative emails kept, office addresses/phones not copied. Senators Klobuchar and Smith, Governor Walz, and the statewide candidate rows (Senate and Governor tickets) carried from the us-duluth record and re-pointed to the St. Cloud City Hall ballot (same statewide contests, re-read on that ballot 2026-11-01). Mayor from the Mayor's Office page; seven council members (four wards, three at-large; 'Each serves a four-year term') from the City Council page with official @ci.stcloud.mn.us emails; phone numbers not copied.
  • Districts: Census geocoder (robots 404) at City Hall: MN-6, SD-14, HD-14A. MyBallotMN sampling of 18 St. Cloud precincts in ZIPs 56301/56303/56304 (Stearns, Benton and Sherburne parts): all CD 6 and SD 14; HD 14A (Wards 1 and 4 precincts sampled) and HD 14B (Wards 2 and 3, and part of Ward 1). Coarse sample.
  • Nothing was blocked. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read).
