Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates (federal and state): Florida Division of Elections Candidate Tracking System, 2026 General Election, County = St. Johns, Status = ALL (except WIT/DNQ), retrieved 2026-10-31 by the form's POST (robots.txt 404). Kept: Qualified candidates who won or had no primary for U.S. Senate, FL-5, Governor, HD-19. Dropped: primary losers and write-ins (FL-5 William Lintag Upham WRI; Governor Kathy Anderson, Erik Morris WRI). The county's list also covers FL-6, HD-18 and HD-20 (other parts of St. Johns County) - not recorded, since the city lies wholly in FL-5 / HD-19. Cross-checked against the St. Johns County SOE's 'November 3, 2026 General Election Candidates' PDF (dated 09.17.26): same names for every recorded race.
- City candidates: St. Johns County SOE 'Candidate List and Reports' page (votesjc.gov/candidate-list-and-reports; robots.txt 'User-agent: *' with no disallow, Content-Signal ai-input=yes) links the November list (09.17.26) and '2026 Qualified Candidates (Updated)' (08-18-26). Qualified: Seat 3/Mayor - Cynthia Garris only; Seat 4 - Ashleigh Barnes, Cindy Golos-Guergawi, Ko Robins; Seat 5 - Matt Brown, Julie Settle. Only Seat 5 is on the November list. The SOE's Election Night Reporting for the 2026-08-18 Primary (enr.electionsfl.org/STJ/4011/Summary/, robots.txt 404; 'last updated 08/26/2026') shows St. Augustine Commission Seat 4: Ashleigh Barnes 1,848 (60.43%), Ko Robins 916 (29.95%), Cindy Golos-Guergawi 294 (9.61%) - Barnes won outright and takes Seat 4 when Garris's term expires (December 2026); she is not a row here because she is neither a sitting member nor on a pending ballot.
- Both SOE PDFs are on irp.cdn-website.com (the SOE's site-builder file host), whose robots.txt request returned an S3 'AccessDenied' (403), i.e. no robots file served; the PDFs print candidates' street addresses, phones and emails - none copied except one campaign-domain and one campaign-named email.
- Sitting commission: City of St. Augustine 'Mayor and Commissioners' page and each member page (citystaug.com, read 2026-10-31). citystaug.com robots.txt has a named ClaudeBot / Claude-SearchBot group repeating the site-wide disallows (search, calendar, RSS, bids, FAQ, admin) - none used; 10-second spacing kept. Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline (Seat 3, 2-year term expires December 2026), Vice Mayor Barbara Blonder (Seat 2, to Dec 2028), Jon DePreter (Seat 1, to Dec 2028), Cynthia Garris (Seat 4, to Dec 2026), Jim Springfield (Seat 5, to Dec 2026). Agrees with the SOE's Elected Officials Guide (updated 02/24/2026). Official @citystaug.com emails as linked on each page; City phones and P.O. box not copied. Next municipal election: 2028 (Seats 1, 2 and the 2-year Mayor seat).
- Districts: Census geocoder at City Hall gives CD-5, SD-7, HD-19 (St. Augustine city, St. Johns County). A 9x9 grid kept 22 in-city points: all CD-5, SD-7, HD-19 on both vintages. Coarse.
- Sitting members: Rutherford (FL-5) from house.gov/representatives; Senators Scott and Moody from the CC0 @unitedstates file; Leek from flsenate.gov/Senators/s7 (Crawl-delay 10 honoured); Greco from the flhouse.gov Representatives list. Governor DeSantis reuses the us-jacksonville reading (flgov.com robots.txt disallows Claude agents).
- standsFor null for everyone. Nothing accepted, requested or emailed; one User-Agent throughout.
