Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor and the eight aldermen (two at-large posts, six districts) from https://www.savannahga.gov/390/Contact-Your-City-Council, retrieved 2026-10-31; council structure from /387/Mayor-City-Council ('a mayor and eight aldermen. The mayor and two of the aldermen are elected citywide'). Official @savannahga.gov emails and the page's portraits (linked) kept; the page prints phone numbers, not copied. Savannah's municipal ballot is non-partisan: party null. /387 still prints 'Current Term: All serving January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2023' (stale). Next Savannah municipal election: November 2027 (Mayor and all eight aldermen; four-year concurrent terms, last elected November 2023) — inferred, not read from an official 2027 calendar.
  • Candidates: no official November 3, 2026 candidate list for Chatham County could be read. The Chatham County Board of Elections site (elections.chathamcountyga.gov, robots 404) posts only the certified write-in list, polling places and calls for election; sample ballots are on the state's My Voter Page, and sos.ga.gov / mvp.sos.ga.gov answer a Cloudflare challenge (HTTP 403 'Just a moment...', even for robots.txt) — not bypassed. Statewide nominees (Senate, Governor) are taken from the Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections official composite sample ballot for the same November 3, 2026 election (the statewide contests are identical across counties). GA-1, SD-2 and HD-165 nominees come from the Georgia Secretary of State's official certified primary and runoff results (results.sos.ga.gov public API, isOfficialResults true), flagged listBasis; independents or third-party candidates who qualified only for November (if any) could not be checked. Write-ins skipped.
  • Districts: Census geocoder (robots 404) at City Hall gave GA-1, SD-2, HD-165. A 10x10 grid over the Savannah area (40 points inside 'Savannah city'): GA-1 on every point (120th and 119th maps); State Senate 2 (22), 1 (5), 4 (2); State House 162 (10), 163, 164, 165 (6 each), 161 (1) on the 2026 layers. So 3 Senate and 5 House districts cover the city; only City Hall's are recorded. Slivers under the grid spacing could be missed.
  • Sitting members: GA-1 from house.gov/representatives (robots allows); senators from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (Ossoff term ends 2027-01-03, Warnock 2029-01-03); senate.gov not used (Akamai 403 reported by other agents). State legislators from SOS official 2024 general results, flagged unofficial (legis.ga.gov is a token-gated app). Governor Kemp carried from the us-augusta/us-atlanta reading, not re-read.
  • Not recorded: Chatham County Commission and constitutional officers, school board, judges. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read).
  • Robots/terms: www.savannahga.gov robots.txt has an AI-crawler group naming ClaudeBot that disallows only admin/search/calendar/RSS-type paths; Crawl-delay 10 (from the * group) honoured. elections.chathamcountyga.gov and results.sos.ga.gov: no robots.txt (404). cms.chathamcountyga.gov allows /api/assets/*. www.maconbibb.us disallows /wp-admin/ only. house.gov allows /representatives. Blocked: sos.ga.gov (Cloudflare challenge).
