Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: five commissioners from the City Commission page and each member page on www.sarasotafl.gov (robots.txt: User-agent * with path-specific disallows only, none on these pages; no ClaudeBot/anthropic-ai group), retrieved 2026-10-31. Three district seats and two at-large; nonpartisan; the Commission picks the Mayor and Vice Mayor each November. City-site emails and photo URLs recorded; the shared phone not copied.
  • City election: the City Auditor and Clerk "General Elections Candidates 2026" page lists Jen Ahearn-Koch, Flo Entler and John Harshman (all "Candidate for At-Large"), with Yevgeny Khodorkovsky and Rob Rominiecki marked "Eliminated" (August primary) and Jaime Loomis, Michael Bennett and Sherman Baldwin "Withdrawn". The page does not state the number of seats; both at-large members (Trice, Ahearn-Koch) have terms expiring 2026. Candidate pages print home/mailing addresses and phones — not copied. The Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections site (www.sarasotavotes.gov) answered robots.txt with a Cloudflare "Sorry, you have been blocked" page (HTTP 403), so no SOE sample ballot or results were used.
  • Candidates (federal and state): Florida Division of Elections Candidate Tracking System, 2026 General Election (elecid 20261103-GEN), County = Sarasota, Status = ALL, retrieved 2026-10-31 (no robots.txt — 404). Kept Qualified for U.S. Senate, FL-17, Governor (with running mates), SD-22 and HD-73. Dropped primary losers, Did Not Qualify, withdrawn, write-ins, Cabinet, judicial and county races.
  • Districts: Census geocoder at City Hall (1565 1st St) returned CD-17, SD-22 and HD-73 (120th Congress and 2026 State Legislative layers). A 0.015-degree grid gave 27 points inside the city, all CD-17 / SD-22 / HD-73. FL-16 (Vern Buchanan, not qualified for 2026; Sydney Gruters R v. Kelly Kirschner D v. Mark Davis NPA) and HD-74/75 cover other parts of Sarasota County, not the city points sampled.
  • Federal officeholders from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (session copy 2026-10-31; senate.gov not used). Governor DeSantis row reused from the 2026-10-15 us-jacksonville reading (flgov.com disallows Claude agents). flsenate.gov/Senators/s22 (Crawl-delay 10 honoured) still shows Joe Gruters as the SD-22 senator. flhouse.gov Representatives list (session copy 2026-10-31).
  • standsFor only for Flo Entler (her candidate-supplied statement on the City page). No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded; Ahearn-Koch's campaign Gmail (JenforSarasota@) is as printed on the City candidate page. No web searches used for Sarasota. One User-Agent throughout.
