Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Districts: Census geocoder at City Hall (matched as 221 E MAIN AVE; 30.50889, -97.67749): Round Rock city, Williamson County, CD-17 (120th), SD-5, HD-136. 8x8 grid over the city (28 points inside "Round Rock city"): 120th map TX-31 (15), 17 (8), 11 (5); 119th map TX-31 (14), 17 (11), 10 (3); Senate SD-5 (27), SD-14 (1); House HD-136 (16), HD-52 (11), HD-46 (1). So 2 Senate and 3 House districts touch the city; only City Hall's are recorded. Slivers below the ~1.5 km grid spacing could be missed.
- Candidates: the official lists for Round Rock's district contests could NOT be read. Williamson County Elections (www.wilco.org redirects to www.wilcotx.gov) answers a Cloudflare 403 even for robots.txt; the Texas SOS Candidate Information app (goelect.txelections.civixapps.com, used for us-austin on 2026-10-15) now has a robots.txt group naming ClaudeBot and anthropic-ai with Disallow: /, so it was not queried; results.texas-election.com answers a Cloudflare challenge; Bell County (www.bellcountytx.com) disallows all user-agents except named search bots. The Travis County composite ballot (votetravis.gov, read 2026-10-31) covers the statewide contests and TX-11 (Pfluger REP, Reynolds DEM) but has no TX-17, TX-31, SD-5 or HD-136 contest. TX-17 candidates (Sessions, Shepard) are carried from the SOS list as read for us-austin. TX-31, SD-5 and HD-136 candidates are not recorded; sitting members there are "elected" only.
- Found but not used as a source (non-official): ivoterguide.com, via search, lists TX-31 John Carter (R), Justin Early (D), Greg Stoker (Green).
- Municipal: Mayor and six council places from the City Council Members page (roundrocktexas.gov), official @roundrocktexas.gov emails kept. Round Rock elects a mayor and six at-large places in May (three-year terms per the City Clerk elections page). The May 2, 2026 general election had Mayor (Craig Morgan; Kelly Hall declared ineligible but on the ballot), Place 1 (Michelle Ly) and Place 4 (Frank Ortega) — the council page read 2026-10-31 shows all three serving. Next city general election: May 2027 (the clerk page describes the May 2027 cycle, terms May 2027 to May 2030). Non-partisan: party null.
- Sitting members: McCaul (TX-10, 119th map), Pfluger (TX-11), Sessions (TX-17), Carter (TX-31) from house.gov/representatives 2026-10-31 (Pfluger/Sessions/McCaul rows carried from us-austin). Senators Cornyn and Cruz and Governor Abbott carried from us-austin (senate.gov is 403; Cornyn not on the November ballot). SD-5 Schwertner from senate.texas.gov; HD-136 Bucy from Texas Legislature Online (capitol.texas.gov) because house.texas.gov now disallows ClaudeBot.
- Not recorded: Williamson/Travis county offices, Round Rock ISD board, judges, measures. standsFor null for everyone. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded.
- Robots/terms: www.roundrocktexas.gov (* group, Crawl-delay 10 honoured), votetravis.gov (allows), senate.texas.gov (allows member pages), capitol.texas.gov (allows /Members/), www.house.gov (allows), geocoding.geo.census.gov (404). Blocked/not used: www.wilcotx.gov (Cloudflare 403), goelect.txelections.civixapps.com and house.texas.gov (robots Disallow: / for ClaudeBot), results.texas-election.com (Cloudflare challenge), www.bellcountytx.com (robots disallows all but named search bots).
