Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Mayor and six ward council members from the City of Reno City Council page (the member cards load from the site's published catalogue feed, https://www.reno.gov/_includes_/published/catalogue.json, category 'City Council Members'), retrieved 2026-10-22. Reno moved from five wards plus an at-large seat to six wards in 2024; the council is seven people (Mayor + Wards 1-6). Terms from Washoe County Registrar 'Elected Offices and Incumbents' (last updated 5/11/2026). Office phones on the cards were not copied; the only official email shown is Duerr's. Photos are City portraits on reno.gov, linked only.
  • City election: the City Clerk's 2026 Election page lists the seats up as Mayor, Council Wards 2 and 4, City Attorney (all 4-year, 2026-2030) and Municipal Court Judge Dept. 1 (6-year, 2026-2032), and prints the filing list: Mayor (9 filed), Ward 2 (4), Ward 4 (Ebert, Gomez), City Attorney (Bogale only), Judge Dept. 1 (Gianoli, Hubach). Who advanced from the 9 June 2026 primary is from Washoe County's 'Election Summary Report, Official Final Results' (6/18/2026): Mayor - Marshall 44.85% and Taylor 18.98%; Ward 2 - Johnson 35.57% and Pellett 33.95%. These city 'running' rows therefore rest on the City filing list plus the official canvass, not a certified general list, because Washoe's address-specific sample ballot is served by nv.omniballot.us (robots.txt 403) and Washoe's 'Who has filed?' link goes to nvsos.gov (blocked). Next regular city election: Wards 1, 3, 5, 6 in 2028.
  • NV-2 and Governor candidates from the Douglas County (NV) Clerk-Treasurer's 2026 General Election 'Who is on My Ballot?' page and its sample ballot PDF (revised 08/28/2026): NV-2 Benitez-Thompson (DEM), Chapman (IAP), Flippo (REP); Governor A. Ford (DEM), D. Ford (NPP), Lombardo (REP), plus 'None of these candidates'. Douglas is wholly in NV-2, and the Governor field matches Clark County's general list. A Nevada Independent voter guide names other IAP/Libertarian NV-2 candidates (Barnhill, Kennedy); they are NOT on the Douglas official list and were not recorded.
  • Not captured: general-election candidates for SD-13 and AD-24 (both on the 2026 ballot; Washoe is their filing officer). Neither had a June primary contest in Washoe, and no official Washoe general candidate list could be read: nvsos.gov (Akamai 'Access Denied' on robots.txt, retested 2026-10-22), leg.state.nv.us (Cloudflare 'Attention Required' on robots.txt; its CandidatesList_2026General.pdf would answer this), nv.omniballot.us (403 on robots.txt), electionresults.washoecounty.gov (robots.txt 503 'results will be displayed here after the election' - treated as disallow). Daly and Roth stay 'elected' until a list is read. No bypass attempted.
  • Federal: Senators from Washoe County's elected-officials list (senate.gov answered Akamai 403 to robots.txt); Washoe's term dates for the two Senators appear swapped (it shows Cortez Masto to 2031 and Rosen to 2029). Representative Amodei from the House Clerk's MemberData.xml (published 1 Oct 2026); he is on neither the June Republican primary nor the general list. No member photos linked.
  • District coverage by land area, computed locally from Census 2024 cartographic boundary files (www2.census.gov GENZ2024 cb_2024_32 place/sldu/sldl 500k), clipped to the Reno city polygon (289.98 km2): Senate SD15 100.5 km2 (34.7%), SD14 90.0 (31.1%), SD16 56.3 (19.4%), SD13 43.1 (14.9%). Assembly AD32 82.6 (28.5%), AD25 56.0 (19.3%), AD26 53.8 (18.5%), AD27 44.6 (15.4%), AD24 36.8 (12.7%), AD31 7.4 (2.6%), AD30 6.3 (2.2%), AD40 2.5 (0.9%). Generalized boundaries. City Hall (1 E. First St., coordinates 39.5262,-119.8128) falls in SD-13, AD-24 and NV-2 per the Census Geocoder.
  • No standsFor recorded: none of the official lists print candidate statements. Unopposed: City Attorney (Bogale, sole filer). Primary losers (including Council Member Devon Reese for Mayor) are not listed as running.
