Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • BLOCKED: elections.dutchessny.gov (Dutchess County Board of Elections, the election authority for Poughkeepsie) answers robots.txt itself with HTTP 403, so its 2026 candidate notice and certification were NOT read. Also refused: elections.ny.gov (NYS Board of Elections — robots.txt 403), orangecountyny.gov (Orange County, robots.txt 403; orangecountygov.com redirects there) and putnamcountyny.gov (robots.txt 403). Nothing retried with another tool, UA or mirror.
  • Candidates used: the Ulster County Board of Elections' signed certification 'Ulster County General Election Ballot Contests, 2026' (scanned PDF, 2026-09-10, linked from its Sample Ballots page; robots allows all). It covers the statewide tickets, NY-18 and AD-104 — both districts cross into Ulster, so the same certified candidates appear on Poughkeepsie's ballot. SD-39 is not in Ulster, so its contest is not on that list. Party lines as printed ('Democrat', 'Working Families Party', 'Republican', 'Conservative', 'Vote Affordable'); partyShort = major line. Comptroller (DiNapoli D/WFP v Joseph Hernandez R/C) and Attorney General (Letitia A. James D/WFP v Saritha Komatireddy R/C) are on the ballot but not recorded as people.
  • SD-39 — NOT RECORDED as candidates (no official list reachable): search snippets (City & State NY, 2026-09; WAMC 2026-06-24) say Senator Rob Rolison (R, sitting) faces Dutchess County Legislator Lisa Kaul (D) in November; verify on the Dutchess BOE certified list before adding.
  • Officeholders: NY-18 from the House Clerk Member Data XML (Oct 1, 2026); SD-39 Rolison from nysenate.gov; AD-104 Jacobson from nyassembly.gov (robots names only GPTBot); U.S. Senators, Governor and Lt. Governor from the Onondaga BOE 2026 Elected Official List (a county list, but these are statewide officers; residential addresses on it never copied).
  • Municipal: Mayor Yvonne Flowers from the City's Mayor page (www.cityofpoughkeepsie.gov/242/Mayor); nine Common Council members (one At Large + eight wards) from the City's 'Common Council Members' page, with each member's official @cityofpoughkeepsie.gov email and photo link. The page prints a phone for each member — NOT copied. Party is not printed on either page, so party/partyShort are null; the council chair is not labelled on the page (Shook is 'Vice-Chair', Patterson Thompson 'Majority Leader'). robots.txt for www.cityofpoughkeepsie.gov has a ClaudeBot group that disallows only admin/search/calendar/CivicAlerts/RSS paths; none of those were opened. (cityofpoughkeepsie.com has a certificate for another host; its http:// form redirects to the .gov site, which was used.)
  • Next municipal election: not read from an official page (Dutchess BOE blocked). Search snippets say Yvonne Flowers was elected mayor in November 2023 (WAMC 2023-11-07), which on a four-year term would put the next mayoral election in November 2027 — inferred only. standsFor null for everyone.
