Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • cityofpensacola.com robots.txt (Cloudflare managed) has explicit groups for ClaudeBot and anthropic-ai with Disallow: / — so the City site was NOT used at all. Mayor and council come instead from the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections list "Elected Officials in Escambia County" (updated 9/2025), retrieved 2026-10-31; escambiavotes.gov robots allows all. Official @cityofpensacola.com emails are those printed on that list; phones not copied. No council photos (city site off-limits).
  • City election: SOE "2026 Offices Up for Election" lists City of Pensacola (nonpartisan) Mayor (4 yr) and City Council Districts 2, 4 and 6 (4 yr). Qualifying ran 2026-06-08 to noon 2026-06-12 (SOE daily qualified-candidate news posts). Mayor: six candidates on the 2026-08-18 primary; D.C. Reeves won outright with 53.24% (official results, enr.electionsfl.org/ESC/3976, last updated 2026-09-10). Council District 2 (Charles Bare, Sherri Myers) and District 4 (Brian Cole, Boyce White) are two-candidate races not on the August ballot and so go to 2026-11-03; District 6 had a single qualifier (Allison Patton), deemed elected. The SOE complete candidate list (EscambiaVotes.gov/candidate-list) returned an empty page and the SOE candidate database host www.voterfocus.com answered robots.txt with HTTP 503 twice, so it was not used; the D2/D4 November pairing is inferred from the qualifying lists plus their absence from the August primary ballot, not read from a November sample ballot.
  • Candidates (federal and state): Florida Division of Elections Candidate Tracking System, 2026 General Election (elecid 20261103-GEN), County = Escambia, Status = ALL, retrieved 2026-10-31 (dos.elections.myflorida.com has no robots.txt — 404). Kept Qualified for U.S. Senate, FL-1, Governor (with running mates) and HD-2. Dropped primary losers (Eliminated), Did Not Qualify, withdrawn, write-ins, Cabinet, judicial and county races. Candidate detail pages (which print addresses) not opened.
  • Districts: Census geocoder at City Hall (222 W Main St) returned CD-1 (120th Congress layer), SD-1 and HD-2 (2026 State Legislative layers). A 0.02-degree grid gave 21 points inside the city, all CD-1 / SD-1 / HD-2. HD-1 (Michelle Salzman, running v. Francesca Yabraian) covers other parts of Escambia but no grid point inside the city; not listed.
  • Federal officeholders from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (session copy fetched 2026-10-31; senate.gov not used — HTTP 403 on robots.txt in earlier runs). Governor DeSantis row reused from the 2026-10-15 us-jacksonville reading (flgov.com disallows Claude agents). State Senate: flsenate.gov/Senators/s1 (robots allows /Senators/; Crawl-delay 10 honoured). State House: flhouse.gov Representatives list read in this session (robots allows).
  • Next City of Pensacola municipal election: 2028 (Council Districts 1, 3, 5, 7; terms expire 11/2028 per the SOE list).
  • standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read). No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. One web search (news results) used only to find the SOE qualifying posts. One User-Agent throughout: ResearchUpon-politics/1.0 (civic research; +https://researchupon.com).
