Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Supervisor, six Town Council members, Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes from oysterbaytown.com/elected-officials/ and each official's page (read 2026-10-22). The Town Board is elected town-wide (no ward or district is named on any official's page), so seat = 'At-large'. Official @oysterbay-ny.gov emails only; the pages also print Town Hall postal and phone details, not copied.
  • Town elections: the Town's 'Town of Oyster Bay Hosts 2026 Inauguration Ceremony' release (January 9, 2026) records the swearing-in of Supervisor Saladino and Councilmen Imbroto, Hand and Monteleone — i.e. the November 2025 class. Maier, Walsh, Labriola, Clerk LaMarca and Receiver Pravato are not in that release; their pages date their first election to 2019 (taking office 2019-2020), so on the four-year odd-year cycle their seats would next be filled in November 2027 — inferred from those dates, not read from an election list. New York's 2023 even-year election law may move or shorten these terms — not verified, because the Nassau County Board of Elections could not be reached.
  • Party: none of the Town, Assembly or Senate pages read print the officeholder's party, so party/partyShort are null for the nine Town officials, SD-7 and AD-15 rather than inferred. Federal parties from clerk.house.gov / the CC0 congress-legislators file; candidate party lines as printed on the contest list.
  • Candidates: the Nassau County Board of Elections (nassaucountyny.gov/boe) returned a 'Nassau County GEO Block Country' firewall page (Policy 12349) over http and refused HTTPS connections — not bypassed. elections.ny.gov (NYS BOE) answered a Cloudflare managed challenge (403) even on robots.txt — not bypassed. suffolkcountyny.gov robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot, anthropic-ai and Claude-Web, so Suffolk BOE (NY-2's other county) was not used. nysenate.gov: 403 on robots.txt.
  • What was captured from an official list: the Board of Elections in the City of New York contest list (printed 9/11/2026, 'tentative, subject to change') covers the statewide contests and the NY-3 contest, which extends from Queens into Nassau — Governor (Hochul/Adams D-WF v Blakeman/Hood R-C-Vote Affordable) and NY-3 (Suozzi D v LiPetri Jr. R-C). Party lines on the Nassau ballot may differ for NY-3 if a line petitioned only in Nassau. NOT captured: NY-2, SD-7 and AD-15 candidates (Nassau BOE unreachable). State Comptroller and Attorney General are on the ballot but outside the brief.
  • SD-7: Jack M. Martins rests only on a 2023 Town news release naming 'Senator Jack Martins' because nysenate.gov is blocked; his current tenure is not confirmed on an official 2026 list. Districts sampled at 12 points across the town: CD-2 and CD-3; SD-5, SD-7, SD-8; AD-9, AD-10, AD-13, AD-15, AD-17 — a sample, not a full overlay, so other state districts may also touch the town.
  • Licences: oysterbaytown.com footer 'Town of Oyster Bay © 2026 / All Rights Reserved' (no reuse licence); nyassembly.gov and clerk.house.gov state no reuse terms on the pages read; congress-legislators is CC0. Photos are linked, never copied. standsFor null for everyone: no candidate statements were read. Write-ins and primary losers excluded.
