Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • The /local record covers 'Charleston & North Charleston'; this record uses the City of North Charleston (Mayor + 10 district council members, nonpartisan). The City of Charleston is a separate municipality (own mayor and council, not researched here) and is not listed.
  • Municipal: council page and mayor page at northcharleston.org retrieved 2026-10-29 (robots.txt redirects to cms2.revize.com and returns 404: no rules). Council emails decoded from the page's protected links; District 10's listed address is a personal AOL account, left null. Council photos not collected. Street addresses and phones on the page not copied.
  • City elections (northcharleston.org/government/city_council/election.php): next general election Tuesday 2027-11-02 for Mayor and all 10 districts, nonpartisan, plurality; terms January 2028–January 2032. A District 1 special election was held 2026-01-13.
  • Candidates: SC Election Commission Candidate Tracking (vrems.scvotes.sc.gov; no robots.txt), 11/3/2026 Statewide General Election, status Active, read 2026-10-29 for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Governor & Lt Governor and State House. The CSV export (which carries filing-form contact details) was not used. Charleston County BVRE sample ballot not opened.
  • Districts: Census geocoder at City Hall (coordinates) returned SC-6, SD-42, HD-113. North Charleston spans Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties and several SC House/Senate districts; only City Hall's are listed. SC-1 inclusion not confirmed by a point lookup.
  • senate.gov returned HTTP 403 on robots.txt and congress.gov names anthropic-ai in a robots group, so neither was used; senators come from SEC 2022 results and the Governor's 2026-07-13 appointment release.
  • Sen. Lindsey Graham died 2026-07-11 (Governor's statement); Darline Graham appointed 2026-07-13 by Executive Order 2026-16 and is the Republican nominee on the general list.
