Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor Freddie O'Connell (Mayor's Office page), Vice Mayor Angie Emery Henderson (Vice Mayor page) and 40 Metropolitan Council members (5 at-large, 35 district) from https://www.nashville.gov/departments/council/metro-council-members, retrieved 2026-10-15 (page footer 'Last updated: October 7, 2025'; no vacancies shown). Official @nashville.gov emails are recorded (decoded from the page's Cloudflare email obfuscation); office phone numbers are not. Metro elections are non-partisan, so party is null. At-large members are elected county-wide, not to numbered positions, so their seat is 'At-Large' (the page's URLs number them at-large-1 … at-large-5).
  • Next Metropolitan election: the Metropolitan General Election for Mayor, Vice Mayor and all 40 Council seats in August 2027, with a runoff in September if no one has a majority (pattern on the Election Commission's own list: Metropolitan General 2019-08-01 / runoff 2019-09-12; 2023-08-03 / runoff 2023-09-14). The 2027 date is expected to be Thursday, August 5, 2027 but is not yet on an official calendar read here (the 2026 Davidson County Election Calendar, rev. 2026-06-12, covers 2026 only). Current terms run until then.
  • Other county-wide elected officers (Sheriff, Trustee, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, court clerks, Public Defender, judges, school board) are county offices elected in the May/August 2026 county elections and are not recorded here.
  • Congressional districts: Davidson County polygon (TIGERweb State_County, GEOID 47037) sampled on a 160x160 grid (14,781 points inside) against TIGERweb Legislative layer 4 (119th Congress — the sitting map): TN-7 5,902, TN-5 5,580, TN-6 3,296, TN-4 2 border points (treated as a generalisation artefact); and layer 0 (120th Congress — Tennessee's May 2026 map): TN-7 8,333, TN-4 3,284, TN-6 3,162 (1 point TN-9, artefact). The 2026 Davidson County Election Calendar lists U.S. Representative Districts 4, 6, 7 and the Election Commission's news release of 2026-06-25 says voters were reassigned to 'the revised congressional districts adopted by the Tennessee General Assembly in May'. Sitting members (Ogles TN-5, Rose TN-6, Van Epps TN-7) are listed as elected; DesJarlais (TN-4) is listed as a candidate only. Census geocoder puts the Metro Courthouse in TN-6 (120th layer).
  • State legislative districts covering Davidson County by the same grid (2026 layers): Senate 20, 19, 21, 17 (plus 1-2 point slivers of 14, 18, 23); House 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 58, 59, 60 (plus single-point border slivers). Only the Metro Courthouse's districts (SD-21, HD-51) are recorded as people, per the brief. SD-20 is not up in 2026.
  • Sitting U.S. Representatives from https://www.house.gov/representatives (Tennessee table), retrieved 2026-10-15. U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty (both Republican): senate.gov returns HTTP 403, so taken from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (Hagerty term ends 2027-01-03, Blackburn 2031-01-03). Hagerty's seat is on the 2026 ballot; Blackburn is the Republican nominee for Governor (recorded on her Senator row as incumbent-running with runningFor 'Governor', not as a separate row). No federal photos linked.
  • State officeholders: capitol.tn.gov (Tennessee General Assembly) robots.txt allows only named search engines ('User-agent: * Disallow: /'), so no legislature page was fetched. SD-21 Jeff Yarbro (D) and HD-51 Aftyn Behn (D) are taken from the Davidson County Election Commission's official results (2022-11-08 SD-21; 2024-11-05 HD-51) and the 2026 sample ballot, and marked "unofficial": true because no current roster was read. Both are the only printed candidates for their seats in 2026 (counted as unopposed). Governor Bill Lee from tn.gov (robots allows all); party from the 2022 Davidson County results.
  • Candidates: the Tennessee Secretary of State / Division of Elections site (sos.tn.gov) returns a CloudFront 403 even for robots.txt, so the state certified candidate list was not read. Candidates are from the Davidson County Election Commission's Official Sample Ballot for the November 3, 2026 State and Federal General Election (PDF posted 2026-09, linked from https://www.nashville.gov/departments/elections/voters/sample-ballots), which prints only nominees and qualified independents (party label kept in ballotParty: 'Republican Party Nominee', 'Democratic Party Nominee', 'Independent Candidate'). Names exactly as printed. Write-ins skipped; primary losers excluded.
  • Governor 2026 (open): Marsha Blackburn (R), Jerri Green (D) and 13 independents. U.S. Senate: Bill Hagerty (R, inc.), Marquita Bradshaw (D) and 8 independents. TN-4: Scott DesJarlais (R), Victoria Broderick (D), 2 independents. TN-6 (open): Johnny Garrett (R), Mike Croley (D), 2 independents. TN-7: Matt Van Epps (R, inc.), Darden Copeland (D), 2 independents. SD-21: Jeff Yarbro (D, inc.) alone. HD-51: Aftyn Behn (D, inc.) alone.
  • Robots/terms: nashville.gov (Drupal robots; council, mayor and elections pages allowed; footer '© 2026 Official website of Metro Nashville & Davidson County', Terms of Service linked but not accepted; photos linked, not copied), house.gov (allows), tn.gov (Allow: /), geocoding.geo.census.gov and tigerweb.geo.census.gov (public Census services; tigerweb's robots.txt request returned a 'Request Rejected' page, the ArcGIS REST endpoints answered normally, as in earlier runs), unitedstates.github.io (CC0; no robots.txt). Blocked, not bypassed: senate.gov (403, per earlier runs), sos.tn.gov (CloudFront 403), capitol.tn.gov (robots disallow).
  • No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read). Wikipedia, Ballotpedia and news were not used.
