Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Region check: local/data/us-macon.json display = "Macon, Georgia"; the Census geocoder places City Hall in Incorporated Place "Macon-Bibb County" (the consolidated government, 2014). Mayor and Commission are treated as municipal.
  • Candidates: Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections composite sample ballot for the November 3, 2026 General/Special Election (rev. 9-17 / 10-15), linked from https://www.maconbibb.us/board-of-elections/sample-ballots/, retrieved 2026-10-29. sos.ga.gov / mvp.sos.ga.gov were not tried (Cloudflare challenge, per other Georgia agents). Ballot party "Democrat" recorded as Democratic. No Libertarian or independent candidates are printed for any office. A separate certified write-in list exists (not used; write-ins skipped).
  • Contests: U.S. Senate Jon Ossoff (D, inc.) vs Mike Collins (R); GA-2 Sanford Bishop (D, inc.) vs Matt Day (R); GA-8 Austin Scott (R, inc.) vs Kelly Esti (D); Governor open: Rick Jackson (R) vs Keisha Lance Bottoms (D); SD-26 David E. Lucas (D, inc.) vs Tracy Wheeler (R); HD-143 Anissa M. Jones (D, inc.) unopposed. Other legislative contests on the county ballot (notes only, per the brief): SD-18 Steven McNeel (R, inc.; won the Feb 17, 2026 special runoff 4,607-3,007 in Bibb per the official summary) unopposed; SD-25 Rick A. Williams (R, inc.) unopposed; HD-142 Miriam Paris (D, inc.) vs Calvin Palmer (R); HD-144 Dale Washburn (R, inc.) unopposed; HD-145 Tangie Herring (D, inc.) vs Eric Wilson (R); HD-149 Floyd Griffin (D, inc.) vs Randy Peters (R).
  • Districts covering the county, from the composite ballot: U.S. House 2 and 8; State Senate 18, 25, 26; State House 142, 143, 144, 145, 149. A point-in-polygon test of the city boundary was not run (Payne City, a separate municipality inside Bibb, is not part of Macon-Bibb).
  • Sitting federal members from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (GA-2 Bishop, GA-8 Scott; senators Ossoff term ends 2027-01-03, Warnock 2029-01-03). Governor Kemp as read for us-augusta. State legislators' incumbency rests on the ballot's (I) mark and is flagged unofficial: true (legis.ga.gov is a token-gated app).
  • Municipal: Mayor and the nine Commissioners from the Macon-Bibb Commissioners page, retrieved 2026-10-29 (Commission = Mayor + nine district Commissioners; "elected every four years and may serve three terms"). Elections are nonpartisan, so party is null. Official @maconbibb.us emails kept; the page prints cell numbers, not copied. Photos linked, not copied.
  • 2026 municipal election: none. The Board of Elections' 2026 races list (revised Dec 3, 2025) shows only judicial, Board of Education (Posts 7 and 8 at-large) and Macon Water Authority (Chairman, Districts 1 and 4) nonpartisan races on May 19, 2026. Mayor and all nine Commission districts were on the May 21, 2024 nonpartisan ballot, so the next municipal election is the May 2028 nonpartisan general (date inferred from 4-year terms; no 2028 calendar read).
  • Not recorded as people: county constitutional officers (Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, Clerk of Superior Court, Coroner, Probate judge), the judges, District Attorney, Solicitor, Water Authority and school board, as for us-augusta and us-columbus-ga. Bibb County Soil and Water supervisor (Lindsay D. Holliday, inc.) is on the ballot but not recorded.
  • Robots/terms: www.maconbibb.us robots.txt (User-agent: * Disallow: /wp-admin/ only; no AI-crawler group). Terms: no terms-of-use page found; footer "© 2020 Macon-Bibb County" and a Privacy Statement (Georgia Open Records Act); no reuse licence, so photos linked only. unitedstates.github.io and geocoding.geo.census.gov have no robots.txt (404). The Census geocoder returned one 502 before answering.
  • Andrea Cooke (District 5) appears on the Commissioners page in place of Seth Clark (2024 ballot incumbent); how the seat changed hands was not established from an official source.
  • No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor is null for everyone because no candidate statements were read.
