Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan from livonia.gov/1513/About-the-Mayor ('Elected Mayor in 2019 and 2023 (2020 to present)'); the seven Council Members from livonia.gov/1653/City-Council ('Meet our Current Council Members', photo captioned '2026-2027 City Council'); City Clerk Lori Miller from livonia.gov/194/City-Clerk ('The Clerk is an elected position'), all read 2026-10-31. Council is elected city-wide (no wards on the page): seat 'At-large'. Livonia city elections are non-partisan: party null. The Mayor's page says the Mayor 'works cooperatively with the Livonia City Council, Treasurer, Clerk and District Court'; the Treasurer's page names no officeholder, so no Treasurer is recorded. The Federal, State & Local Officials page (/1497) confirms Slotkin, Peters, Tlaib (12th), State Senators Polehanki (5th) and Cavanagh (6th), State Reps Young (16th), Pohutsky (17th), Koleszar (22nd) and Governor Whitmer — it prints office phones and postal addresses, not copied.
  • Next City of Livonia election: Michigan cities of this type vote in odd years; the Mayor (last elected 2023) is next up in November 2027 — inferred from the Mayor page, not read from a 2027 election calendar. No Livonia city contest is on the Wayne County Nov 3, 2026 list.
  • Candidates: Wayne County Clerk 'Official Candidate List', November 3, 2026 General Election (printed 9/10/2026 5:34 PM), fetched directly (robots.txt allows /files/; only one Clerk redirect path disallowed). The list prints each candidate's home address — never copied. No withdrawal dates are printed against any row recorded here. Statewide (Governor/Lt Gov, U.S. Senate) and MI-12 rows were carried from the us-detroit record, which rests on the same list, and re-checked against it today. Write-ins and primary losers excluded.
  • Districts: Census geocoder at city hall: MI-12, SD-8 and HD-16 on the 2026 layers; SD-6 and HD-16 on the 2024 (sitting) layers. 7x7 grid on the 2026 layers (49 points, all in Livonia city): MI-12 49; SD-8 49; HD-22 20, HD-17 16, HD-16 13. 5x5 grid on the 2024 layers (25 points): SD-6 18, SD-5 7; HD-22 11, HD-16 8, HD-17 6. Only city hall's HD-16 is recorded among House seats; both sitting senators (SD-5, SD-6) are recorded because the 2026 SD-8 contest for the whole city has the SD-5 senator on it. Also covering the city: HD-17 Laurie Pohutsky (D, inc.) v Ken Crider (R); HD-22 Matt Koleszar (D, sitting) — not recorded as people.
  • Sitting members: Tlaib from house.gov/representatives (via us-detroit, retrieved 2026-10-22; confirmed on livonia.gov /1497). Senators from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (senate.gov Akamai 403). Governor Whitmer from nga.org via us-detroit (michigan.gov Akamai 403). State senators from senate.michigan.gov All Senators (embedded data; office phones not copied); HD-16 from house.mi.gov/AllRepresentatives.
  • Robots/terms: livonia.gov robots.txt has an AI-crawler group naming ClaudeBot that disallows only admin/search/calendar/RSS-type paths; Crawl-delay 10 (from the * group) honoured. livonia.gov Terms of Use make use of the site conditional on acceptance and grant no reuse licence (nothing clicked or accepted). waynecountymi.gov, senate.michigan.gov (Disallow /search only), house.mi.gov (Allow /), geocoding.geo.census.gov (no robots.txt). Not used: mvic.sos.state.mi.us (Cloudflare per earlier runs), michigan.gov, senate.gov. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone.
