Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Sitting municipal officials from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters 'Elected Officials' page (alamedacountyca.gov/rov_app/electedofficials; robots.txt disallows only unrelated feedback/calendar/error paths; page script dated 'Updated - 03/30/2026'; retrieved 2026-10-31): Mayor John Marchand (2024-2026); District 1 Evan Branning (2023-2026); District 2 Ben Barrientos (2023-2026); District 3 Steven Dunbar (2024-2028); District 4 Kristie Wang (2024-2028). No other elected city office is listed. Changes after 2026-03-30 would not show.
  • BLOCKED: www.livermoreca.gov answered the robots.txt request itself with an Akamai 'Access Denied' (HTTP 403, reference #18.96951eb8.1793489382.235784c2) on 2026-10-31, so no City of Livermore page (council page, City Clerk election page, candidate statements, photos, official emails) was read. Not retried with another User-Agent or tool. standsFor is therefore null for everyone.
  • Candidates: Registrar's public Candidate List search (alamedacountyca.gov/rov_app/candidatelist, the page's own POST form; election 'General Election - 11/03/2026 (Official)', candidate status 'Filing Completed'; retrieved 2026-10-31). Races with status 'On Ballot' for all races; Livermore Mayor (raceId 118) and Council #1 (raceId 119) appear only under status 'Not On Ballot', each with a single filer (Marchand, ballot designation 'Mayor'; Branning, 'Incumbent/Teacher') - i.e. unopposed, recorded as incumbent-running with unopposed: true. Council #2: Ben Barrientos ('Incumbent'), Narayan Tadimeti ('Physician'). The Registrar's 'Incumbent' flag is N for every City-agency filing, so incumbency comes from the Elected Officials list.
  • Federal and state candidates from the same Registrar list: CA-14 Melissa Hernandez (Democratic Party, Healthcare Services Director) vs Aisha Wahab (Democratic Party, State Senator); Governor Xavier Becerra (Democratic Party) vs Steve Hilton (Republican Party); 16th Assembly District Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (Democratic Party, Incumbent: Y) vs Joseph A. Rubay (Republican Party). The Registrar's list has no 5th State Senate District race. The California SOS Certified List of Candidates (certified 2026-08-27) is the statewide authority and is recorded as candidateList; it was NOT fetched here (its file host elections.cdn.sos.ca.gov answered robots.txt with 403 for earlier agents); the Fremont and Hayward records, which compared, found CA-14 and Governor identical to the Registrar. AD-16 was not cross-checked against the SOS list.
  • District coverage: Census geocoder (geocoding.geo.census.gov; robots.txt 404) at City Hall (37.6797, -121.7680, matched 'Livermore city', Alameda County) gives CA-14 (120th Congressional Districts), SD-5 and AD-16 (2026 State Legislative Districts). A 10x10 grid (lat 37.635-37.735, lon -121.83 to -121.70) kept 44 points inside 'Livermore city': all 44 in CA-14, SD-5 and AD-16 on both the current and ACS2025 vintages. So one House, one Senate and one Assembly district cover the city (coarse grid; a sliver could be missed).
  • Federal: CA-14 Aisha Wahab from https://www.house.gov/representatives ('14th | Wahab, Aisha | D'; robots.txt standard Drupal, no Claude rule), cross-checked with the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (W000832, term start 2026-09-02). Photo linked from clerk.house.gov (HEAD 200; robots.txt 404). Senators Padilla and Schiff from the CC0 file; senate.gov not requested.
  • State: Governor Gavin Newsom from www.gov.ca.gov/about/ (robots disallows only /wp-admin/). Senator Jerry McNerney (SD-5, D) from www.senate.ca.gov/senators; Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (AD-16, Democrat) from www.assembly.ca.gov/assemblymembers; both robots.txt files are standard Drupal and allow these pages. Photos linked, not copied; no capitol or district office addresses or phones copied.
  • Next municipal election: November 2028 (Districts 3 and 4 per the Registrar's 2024-2028 terms; the Mayor's term shown is two years, 2024-2026, so the Mayor would also be up in 2028 - not confirmed on a City page because livermoreca.gov is blocked).
  • Privacy: the Registrar's list prints mailing addresses, phone numbers and some personal-looking emails; none copied. Only campaign websites and campaign-domain emails kept. No terms accepted, no logins, nothing requested or emailed; one User-Agent throughout. Alameda County pages state no reuse restriction.
  • Not done: county offices, measures, Livermore Valley Joint USD and LARPD races (school/special districts outside the brief), other statewide offices.
