Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates: Virginia Department of Elections HTML candidate tables, Federal Offices (rev. 10-6-2026) and Local Offices (rev. 10-9-2026), retrieved 2026-10-31. ELECT robots.txt disallows *.csv/*.xlsx/*.json, so only the HTML tables were read. The lists print campaign phones and street addresses: none copied. Free-mail addresses kept only where plainly campaign-named (ahsenforcongress@, votefortoddcj@, friendsofbrendanmurphy@); Mizusawa and Burk addresses left null. Leesburg Mayor and Council contests are effectively unopposed (1 for 1, 3 for 3), marked acclaimed; write-ins excluded.
- BLOCKED: www.leesburgva.gov answers robots.txt itself with an Akamai 403 Access Denied; not bypassed, so no Town Council page was read. The current Council is therefore reconstructed from the official Loudoun County certified results: 2022 (Steinberg, Cimino-Johnson, Wilt; terms to end of 2026) and 2024 (Cummings, Krukowski, Nacy; terms to end of 2028; Mayor Burk). Vote sums checked against the PDF totals. Any vacancy or appointment since then is NOT reflected, and the Vice Mayor is not known. The 2026 ELECT list confirms Burk, Steinberg and Cimino-Johnson as incumbents.
- Ashburn is unincorporated (Census: Ashburn CDP); its local government is the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. The Chair At-Large, the Ashburn District and the Leesburg District supervisors are recorded from loudoun.gov/bos (robots allows; ClaudeBot group carries only the site-wide disallows; requests spaced ~10 s). Board elected 2023, next November 2027. Party not printed; recorded as None.
- Federal officeholders from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json. State legislators from apps.senate.virginia.gov (robots 404) and house.vga.virginia.gov (robots allows). Governor row carried from the Alexandria record (not re-fetched).
- standsFor null for everyone. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. Ballotpedia, Wikipedia and news were not used.
