Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Mayor and council (7) from City of Las Vegas — Mayor & City Council, https://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Government/Mayor-City-Council and each member page (retrieved 2026-10-22). No official email addresses are published on these pages (contact forms/phones only), so email is null. Photos found in page markup only for the Mayor and Ward 4; the others are null.
  • City election: the City Clerk's 2026 Municipal Elections page (https://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Government/Elections) lists the 2026 seats as Council Ward 2, Municipal Judge Dept. 1 (unexpired term ending 2028) and Dept. 2 (unexpired term ending 2030). Ward 4 (Allen-Palenske, sole candidate) and Ward 6 (Brune, won the 9 June 2026 primary) were declared elected and are not on the November ballot. Ward 2 (McCarthy vs Nordstrom) and both judge races are on the 3 Nov 2026 ballot, matching the Clark County list. Next regular city election: Mayor and Wards 1, 3, 5 in 2028 (primary June 2028, general November 2028).
  • Candidate campaign websites and emails for city races were transcribed from each candidate's City 'Candidate Contact Information' sheet, which states the information 'will be available to the public and will be posted on the City's election web page'. Mailing addresses, home/cell/office phones and campaign-manager names were not copied. The sheets are handwritten scans; spellings were checked against the printed list.
  • Federal/state candidates from the Clark County Election Department's 'All Contests and Candidates in the November 3 2026, General Election' PDF (file dated 8/24/2026; heading notes it is 'subject to change'). Names are given in natural order; the PDF prints Last, First and party abbreviations (DEM, REP, NPP = No Political Party, IAP = Independent American Party, LPN = Libertarian). NV-3's first candidate (Kamerath, IAP) sits on the page boundary between the NV-1 and NV-3 rows in the text layer; word coordinates place him in the NV-3 row (and Nevada lists candidates alphabetically: Kamerath, Lee, O'Donnell).
  • Not captured: the Nevada Secretary of State (nvsos.gov, Akamai 'Access Denied' to robots.txt; silverstateelection.nv.gov 'Pardon Our Interruption' bot wall) and the Nevada Legislature (leg.state.nv.us, Cloudflare 'Attention Required') could not be read by script; no bypass attempted. The Clark County lists stand in for both. Lieutenant Governor and other statewide row-offices are on the ballot but outside this brief's scope.
  • Federal: U.S. Senators from Clark County's Federal Offices list (Cortez Masto term to 2028, Rosen to 2030 — no Senate race in 2026); Representatives from the House Clerk's MemberData.xml (published 1 Oct 2026); websites from @unitedstates congress-legislators (CC0). No member photos linked.
  • District coverage by land area, computed by sampling the Census TIGERweb 'Las Vegas city' place polygon against TIGERweb 120th-Congress and 2026 state-legislative layers (approximate): NV-4 54.9%, NV-3 37.2%, NV-1 7.9%. Senate: SD19 28.2%, SD6 17.4%, SD18 16.0%, SD3 14.3%, SD8 8.2%, SD2 6.4%, SD4 4.7%, SD10 2.1%, SD1 1.5%, SD21 1.2%. Assembly (16): AD36 28.2%, AD37 9.6%, AD4 8.5%, AD10 8.2%, AD34 7.8%, AD13 7.5%, AD3 6.1%, AD11 4.9%, AD5 4.1%, AD2 4.1%, AD6 3.5%, AD15 2.1%, AD1 1.5%, AD28 1.5%, AD7 1.2%, AD14 1.2%. The large northwest districts (SD19, AD36) are thinly populated, so these shares overstate them by population. Only the City Hall districts (SD-2, AD-11) are listed.
  • Governor Joe Lombardo from Clark County's Statewide Offices list (page last updated January 2023, term expiring 2026); he is on the 2026 general list, so incumbent-running. Unopposed on the general list: SD-2 Edgar Flores and AD-11 Cinthia Moore. No standsFor recorded: none of the official lists print candidate statements.
