Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Candidates: Jasper County Clerk 'SAMPLE BALLOTS for the November 3rd, 2026 General Election' (24 ballot styles; HD-161 on two styles, identical). Party as printed (REP/DEM/LIB/IND); write-ins excluded. HD-161: Louise Secker (REP), Aaron Joseph Metzger (DEM). SD-32: Jill Carter (REP), Imma J Curl (DEM). MO-7: Eric W. Burlison (REP), Missi Hesketh (DEM), Kevin Craig (LIB) — same three as the SOS certification read for us-springfield-mo. State Auditor: Scott Fitzpatrick (REP), Quentin Wilson (DEM), Dustin Coffell (LIB).
  • Districts: Census geocoder at Joplin city hall (602 S Main St) → CD-7, SD-32, HD-161 (120th Congress and 2026 state legislative layers); city-centre point (37.0842,-94.5130) gives the same. Not point-sampled: Joplin spans Jasper and Newton counties, so other House districts (the Jasper ballots also carry HD-127, HD-162 and HD-163) may cover parts of the city; not established.
  • Sitting members: Burlison from house.gov/representatives (read 2026-10-31); Jill Carter from senate.mo.gov (senators list + member page, read 2026-10-31); Lane Roberts from house.mo.gov MemberGridCluster (read 2026-10-31 after the 120 s crawl delay). Hawley, Schmitt, Kehoe and Fitzpatrick rows carried over from us-springfield-mo (read 2026-10-29).
  • City of Joplin: www.joplinmo.org returned a Cloudflare 'Attention Required' block (HTTP 403) to robots.txt itself; nothing else on the host was requested, so the Mayor and City Council are NOT recorded. Joplin's municipal elections are not on the November ballot (no City of Joplin item on any Jasper County ballot style); the next city election date could not be read.
  • Robots/terms: geocoding.geo.census.gov (no robots.txt), jaspercountymo.gov (allows), house.gov (allows /representatives), senate.mo.gov (allows), house.mo.gov (crawl-delay 120 honoured, no query URLs). BLOCKED: www.sos.mo.gov (Cloudflare challenge on robots.txt; the certified-candidate PDF URL was requested in the same step and was also challenged — nothing read), www.joplinmo.org (Cloudflare). Sample ballots and the House grid print no candidate addresses used here; office phones not copied. standsFor null for everyone.
