Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Region check: local/data/us-hershey.json is Hershey, PA (centre 40.2793,-76.6533). Hershey is an unincorporated Census-designated place inside Derry Township, Dauphin County; local government is the Derry Township Board of Supervisors.
  • MUNICIPAL - NOT REACHED: www.derrytownship.org robots.txt (read 2026-11-01) is 'User-agent: Googlebot / Disallow:' then 'User-agent: * / Disallow: / / Crawl-delay: 20' — every page is disallowed to us, so the Board of Supervisors page was not fetched. No municipal rows. Jim: copy the five Supervisors (names, seats, term ends) from https://www.derrytownship.org by hand if wanted.
  • Township election calendar: Pennsylvania township supervisors are elected in odd-numbered years (municipal elections), so no Derry Township office is on the 2026-11-03 ballot — general PA rule, not read from a Derry or Dauphin page.
  • Districts: Census Geocoder at the Derry Township Municipal Building (600 Clearwater Rd, Hershey, 17033; 40.2822,-76.6804): Derry township, Dauphin County, Congressional District 10 (120th), 2026 State Senate District 15, State House District 106. A 6x6 coordinate grid over 40.22-40.32 N, 76.72-76.57 W: 14 points in 'Derry township' (5 in Hershey CDP), all CD-10 / SD-15 / HD-106. Point sample, not a polygon intersect.
  • Federal: PA-10 member from https://www.house.gov/representatives (read 2026-10-31). Senators Fetterman and McCormick and Governor Shapiro / Lt. Governor Davis carried from us-scranton (CC0 @unitedstates list; pa.gov). No U.S. Senate contest in Pennsylvania in 2026.
  • Candidates: Cumberland County Bureau of Elections 'Official Candidate Information, 2026 General Election', Revised 9/14/2026, candidates in ballot order (https://www.cumberlandcountypa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/55560, linked as 'Official Candidate Listing' from /66/Elections; read 2026-11-01). Used for the statewide Governor/Lt. Governor tickets and the 10th Congressional contest (Janelle Stelson D, Scott Perry R), which are the same contests in Dauphin County. The list prints names only — no addresses.
  • BLOCKED: www.dauphincounty.gov (and http://, and dauphincounty.org) did not answer the robots.txt request (connection timeout, 2026-11-01), so no Dauphin County page was requested — the Dauphin official candidate list, and therefore the HD-106 general-election candidates, were not read. Web searches found no official Dauphin or Pennsylvania Department of State 2026 general candidate list (only Ballotpedia/news, not used). Ballotpedia/news mention an independent, Isabelle Harman, for PA-10; she is NOT on the Cumberland official list and is not recorded.
  • State: palegis.us Senate and House member lists and bio pages (robots: only a UserWay-scanner group, nothing for * or ClaudeBot; read 2026-11-01). Portraits linked from /resources/images/members/300/, not copied. District office addresses and phones on the bios are not copied.
  • Robots/terms: www.cumberlandcountypa.gov robots.txt has a group naming ClaudeBot and Claude-SearchBot that disallows only admin/search/calendar/RSS-type paths; ~10 s spacing kept. geocoding.geo.census.gov no robots.txt. standsFor null throughout.
