Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Candidates: the Town of Hanover Town Clerk's official sample ballot for the 2026-11-03 general election (two image PDFs, read visually: P1 = offices, P2 = questions), linked from https://www.hanovernh.org/359/Voting-Information (page updated about two weeks before 2026-10-31). Names and party columns as printed. The NH Secretary of State site was not used (Akamai/503 refusals to earlier agents).
  • Not recorded as people (outside the brief's scope): Executive Councilor — Karen Liot Hill (D) v Tobin Menard (R); Grafton County Sheriff — Jillian E. Myers on both the Republican and Democratic lines; County Attorney — Martha Ann Hornick (D) v Matthew D. Bjelobrk (R); County Treasurer — Michael J. Cryans (D) v Brian Dear (R); Register of Deeds — Brie Choate (D) v Kelley Jean Monahan (R); Register of Probate — Sharon Modjeska (D); County Commissioner — George Sykes (D).
  • Grafton 12 has exactly four Democratic candidates for its four seats and no other line filled: all four counted as unopposed (counts.unopposed = 4). All four are the sitting members per members.txt.
  • Districts: Census geocoder puts Town Hall in CD-2, Senate 5 and House Grafton 12. A 30x30 sample of the TIGERweb Hanover town polygon (county subdivision 3300933860) on the 2026 layers: CD-2 only, Senate 5 only, House Grafton 12 plus a hit on Grafton 15 (a floterial, member Thomas H. Cormen D per members.txt). Grafton 15 is not on the Hanover ballot, so the hit is treated as a boundary artefact and Cormen is not listed.
  • Municipal: the five Selectboard members from https://www.hanovernh.org/518/Selectboard (official @hanovernh.org emails printed on the page; phones not copied; no member photos on the page). Non-partisan. Town elections are held at the annual Town Meeting in May; the next is May 2027 (inferred from the Town Meeting cycle — not read from a 2027 calendar). The Town Meeting declaration-of-candidacy page exists (/737) but was not needed.
  • Hosts: www.hanovernh.org (robots names ClaudeBot in an AI-crawler group; Disallows /CivicAlerts.aspx and /Calendar.aspx, so the 'Hanover Voters: Information for November 3rd' news flash was NOT read; Crawl-delay honoured), gc.nh.gov, www.house.gov, unitedstates.github.io, geocoding.geo.census.gov and tigerweb.geo.census.gov — no blocks met. Not tried: sos.nh.gov, governor.nh.gov (refused earlier agents). standsFor null for everyone. No home addresses, phones or personal emails.
