Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates from the Mississippi SOS statewide composite sample ballot for November 3, 2026 (PDF dated 9-9-26; re-fetched 2026-10-31). Ballot labels 'Democrat'; partyShort normalised to Democratic. Write-ins skipped. Harrison County election pages were not read, so any county-only special contests are not captured.
- Districts: Census geocoder. The address 2309 15th St (City Hall) matched only to '2309 15th Ave' (-89.0801, 30.3781: SD-48 / HD-119), which is a different location; four coordinate samples around 15th St and 23rd-24th Ave downtown (-89.091 to -89.095, 30.366-30.369) all return Gulfport / CD-4 / SD-49 / HD-120, and those are recorded as the City Hall districts. Other points in the city: (-89.06, 30.45) SD-49 / HD-118 (Greg Haney, R); 2309 15th Ave SD-48 (Mike Thompson, R) / HD-119 (Jeffrey Hulum III, D). No polygon overlay.
- State legislators from billstatus.ls.state.ms.us member XML, retrieved 2026-10-31; Senate email as printed on the Senate roster PDF. Governor Tate Reeves, next election 2027.
- Municipal: Mayor Hugh D. Keating and seven ward council members from gulfport-ms.gov (its robots.txt redirects to a cms3.revize.com per-site path that 404s; the revize host root robots disallows everything but documents, and no page on cms3.revize.com was fetched). Photos are the City Council page images, linked only. Ward 4 lists a business-domain address, left null. Last municipal general election June 3, 2025; next 2029 (City Elections page).
- Phones printed on City and Legislature pages; none copied. standsFor null for everyone. Ballotpedia, Wikipedia and news were not used.
