Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor Alison Lintal from gettysburgpa.gov/195/Office-of-the-Mayor ('Term Expires: January 2028'); the seven Borough Council members from gettysburgpa.gov/197/Borough-Council, read 2026-10-31. The page: 'Borough Council consists of seven members serving a term of four years. Two members are elected from each of the Borough's three wards, and one member is elected at large ... The Mayor is separately elected at large to a four-year term.' Gettysburg is a borough (Council-Manager form). Party is not printed: null. Pages print a phone and postal address for the Municipal Building, not copied; no member emails were on the council page.
  • Next Borough election: Pennsylvania holds municipal elections in odd years — next general November 2, 2027 (the Mayor's term expires January 2028, so the mayoralty is up then). Which council seats are up in 2027 was not read on an official page.
  • Candidates: Adams County Elections & Voter Registration '2026 General Election Candidate Listing' (one-page image PDF, created 2026-08-24, linked from adamscountypa.gov Election Resources). Read from a rendered image of the page (no text layer). It prints office, name and party only (no addresses). Contests: Governor/Lt Gov (Shapiro/Davis DEM; Garrity/Richey REP; Krawchuk/Thomas LIB); PA-13 (Beth Farnham DEM; John Joyce REP); HD-91 (Kathleen Pratt DEM; Dan Moul REP); HD-193 (Todd Crawley DEM; Catherine Wallen REP — not Gettysburg, not recorded). A sample ballot (Sample-Ballot10-5-2026.pdf) is also posted; not read.
  • Districts: Census geocoder at the Municipal Building: PA-13, SD-33, HD-91 (2026 layers). A 5x5 grid over the borough (17 points inside Gettysburg borough) was all PA-13 / SD-33 / HD-91.
  • Sitting members: Joyce from house.gov/representatives (read 2026-10-31); senators Fetterman and McCormick from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json, and Governor Shapiro / Lt Gov Davis from pa.gov — both carried from the us-pittsburgh record (retrieved 2026-10-22); their running status now cites the Adams County list. Mastriano (SD-33) and Moul (HD-91) from palegis.us Senate and House member lists (read 2026-10-31).
  • Robots/terms: gettysburgpa.gov robots.txt AI-crawler group names ClaudeBot and disallows only admin/search/calendar/RSS-type paths; Crawl-delay 10 honoured. adamscountypa.gov (sitemap only), palegis.us (only a UserWay scanner group), house.gov (allows), geocoding.geo.census.gov (no robots.txt). Nothing blocked. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone. Write-ins and primary losers excluded.
