Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Candidates: Indiana Election Division 2026 General Election Candidate List (Abbreviated, ALL COUNTIES; file stamped 20260922 01:12 PM) linked from https://www.in.gov/sos/elections/candidate-information/, read 2026-10-22 (still the only general list linked). It prints ballot name, party, office title and filed date only (no addresses). Write-ins excluded: Phillip D. Beachy (Phil), Write-In (Independent), IN-3. IN-3 on the ballot: Kelly Thompson (D), Marlin A. Stutzman (R). HD-82: Kyle Miller (D) only = counts.unopposed 1. No State Senator, District 16 contest.
  • Next Fort Wayne municipal election: Mayor, City Clerk and all 9 City Council seats on 2027-11-02 (party primaries May 2027). The 2026 list's MAYOR / CITY CLERK / COMMON COUNCIL categories contain only Attica and Covington.
  • Allen County offices on the 2026 list (not recorded as people, outside the brief's scope for a non-consolidated city): Prosecutor Tesa Helge (R, sole candidate); Circuit Court Clerk Keri Roby (D) v Toshua Manuel (R); Auditor Nikole Gillum (D) v Jacquelynn Scheuman (R); Recorder Cheyenne Stoppenhagen (D) v Nicole Keesling (R); Sheriff Troy R Hershberger (R, sole); Assessor Stacey O'Day (R, sole); Commissioner D2 Kate Conner (D) v Ozzie Mitson (R), D3 Jorge Fernandez (D) v Paul Moss (R); County Council D1 Melissa Fisher (D) v Mike Clendenen (R), D2 Mark Hagar (R, sole), D3 Stacey Freeman (D) v Eric (ET) Tippmann (R), D4 Lee Castillo (D) v Don Wyss (R).
  • District coverage: Census TIGERweb Fort Wayne place polygon (GEOID 1825000) sampled on a 100x100 grid (4,386 points inside) against TIGERweb Legislative layers 0 (120th Congress), 1 and 2 (2026 state legislative): IN-3 only (all points); Indiana Senate 14, 15, 16, 19 (4 districts); Indiana House 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 (6 districts). Only city hall's SD-16 and HD-82 (Census geocoder) are recorded as people. Slivers under ~0.3 km could be missed.
  • Municipal roster: cityoffortwayne.org redirects to cityoffortwayne.in.gov, which (CivicPlus) answers a Cloudflare 'Sorry, you have been blocked' page even to robots.txt; allencounty.in.gov (Election Board) the same. Recorded as blocked; no retry with another agent or tool. Mayor Sharon Tucker from Wikipedia's Fort Wayne page (Government, last edited 2026-10-06); the 9 councillors from Wikipedia's Fort Wayne City Council members table (last edited 2026-07-07): 6 Republican, 3 Democratic; President Russ Jehl, Vice President Martin Bender per the table (2026 officer elections not confirmed). City Clerk John McGauley (R) from search-index results (city directory URL, Journal Gazette) — chosen by Republican caucus 2026-01-17 after Lana Keesling resigned. All marked unofficial:true; re-verify on the city site when reachable.
  • Federal: Marlin A. Stutzman (IN-3, R) from https://www.house.gov/representatives, retrieved 2026-10-22. Senators Todd Young (term to 2029-01-03) and Jim Banks (to 2031-01-03) from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (senate.gov 403 on robots.txt). No federal photos linked.
  • State: Governor Mike Braun from https://www.in.gov/gov/. SD-16 Justin Busch from the Indiana Senate Republican Caucus senators page (robots 'Disallow:' empty; photo linked, terms none stated). HD-82 Kyle Miller from Wikipedia's Indiana House member table (last edited 2026-10-04) — indianahousedemocrats.org disallows AI agents per earlier notes, iga.in.gov is a JS app; both unofficial:true.
  • Robots/terms: in.gov (User-agent * no Disallow), geocoding.geo.census.gov (robots 404), tigerweb.geo.census.gov (robots request 'Request Rejected'; queries answered), cityoffortwayne.in.gov and allencounty.in.gov (Cloudflare block), fwcitycouncil.com (does not resolve), enr.indianavoters.in.gov (no robots file; home page 301 via Cloudflare, not pursued), house.gov (/representatives allowed), senate.gov (403), unitedstates.github.io (robots 404), indianasenaterepublicans.com (allows all), en.wikipedia.org (/wiki/ only; CC BY-SA 4.0). No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded; standsFor null for everyone.
  • Council confirmed 2026-10-31: www.cityoffortwayne.in.gov still Cloudflare-blocks robots.txt (403, not bypassed). The search-index text of the City Council staff directory (Directory.aspx?DID=9 and member pages EID=23-27, 31) lists the same nine members as before: At-Large Martin Bender, Michelle Chambers, Tom Freistroffer; D1 Paul Ensley, D2 Russ Jehl, D3 Nathan Hartman, D4 Dr. Scott Myers, D5 Geoff Paddock, D6 Rohli Booker. Rows now cite the city directory (still unofficial:true, not fetched). Officer correction: Jehl resigned as President in Nov 2025 (Paddock interim to end of 2025); for 2026 the council elected Marty Bender President and Paul Ensley Vice President (Ensley's directory profile; Journal Gazette 2026 report corroborates) — the earlier 'President Jehl, VP Bender' from Wikipedia was out of date. Indiana ENR (enr.indianavoters.in.gov) now shows only the 2026 general; 2023 municipal results not read.
