Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Municipal: City of Fort Collins City Council page (fortcollins.gov/Government/City-Council, retrieved 2026-10-29): Mayor Emily Francis (elected at-large, two-year term) and six district Councilmembers, District 2's Julie Pignataro also Mayor Pro Tem. Official fortcollins.gov emails as printed; council-page phones not copied. Photos linked from the council page, not copied. fcgov.com redirects there; both robots.txt allow (single '*' group, Crawl-Delay 10 honoured; no Claude/anthropic group).
- Next municipal election: November 2, 2027 (Mayor and Councilmembers for Districts 2, 4 and 6), per fortcollins.gov/Government/Elections/On-the-Ballot; regular elections are the first Tuesday in November of odd years, non-partisan, ranked voting where three or more candidates. The page says Nov. 3, 2026 brings 'possible local ballot questions' only; none were verified (Larimer County's site returned a Cloudflare challenge and was not used).
- Districts: City Hall (300 LaPorte Ave; 40.58896, -105.08075) geocodes (Census Geocoder, Current) to CO-2, State Senate 14 and State House 53. A point sample of the city via the Census Geocoder coordinates endpoint: 49 points on a ~3 km grid, 29 answered (the rest timed out or 502), 14 of them inside 'Fort Collins city': all 14 in CO-2; State Senate 14 (13) and 23 (1); State House 52 (7) and 53 (7). So CO-2 appears to be the only congressional district covering the city (a sample, not a polygon intersect; TIGERweb was not used), and at least two Senate and two House districts cover it. Only City Hall's legislators are recorded as people.
- Federal: U.S. Senators and CO-2 (Joe Neguse) term data from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json. No photos linked. Statewide rows (Senators, Senate candidates, Governor, Lt. Governor and their candidates) carried over from the us-colorado-springs record (2026-10-22) with region changed, every candidate name re-checked against the SOS list fetched 2026-10-29.
- State: Kipp (SD-14) and Boesenecker (HD-53) from the leg.colorado.gov legislator list (official coleg.gov emails as printed; capitol phones not copied). Governor Polis and Lt. Governor Primavera from the SOS 2022 official abstract (carried over).
- Candidates: Colorado SOS '2026 General Election Official Candidate List' (HTML table; 'certified to the counties on September 4'; 'Last updated September 15, 2026, 11:09 AM'), retrieved 2026-10-29. Captured: U.S. Senate, CO-2 (Neguse D, Kelley Anne Dennison R, Gaylon Kent L), Governor, Lt. Governor, HD-53 (Andy Boesenecker D, Daniel Frick R). SD-14 is not on the 2026 list. Excluded: certified write-ins (3 for U.S. Senate, none for CO-2 or HD-53). The only struck-through (withdrawn) name on the list is in SD-35, out of scope. 'Unaffiliated' recorded as party null, partyShort 'Independent'. Incumbent-running: Hickenlooper, Neguse, Boesenecker. No contest in scope is unopposed.
- Robots/terms: coloradosos.gov (robots allows /pubs/), leg.colorado.gov (allows member pages; disallows /rails/ and /active_storage/ where photos live), fortcollins.gov (allows; Disclaimer and Copyright: non-commercial use with attribution, redistribution/modification without written permission prohibited — only facts and links taken), unitedstates.github.io (CC0), geocoding.geo.census.gov (robots 404). Not used: larimer.gov (robots.txt and pages behind a Cloudflare challenge — not bypassed), so the Larimer County sample ballot was not read; tigerweb.geo.census.gov (robots.txt returned 'Request Rejected'). No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone.
