Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates: Union County Clerk's 'Candidate List for the General Election, November 3, 2026' (dated 9/3/2026, Deputy Clerk Clara C. Fernández; https://unioncountyvotes.com, robots 'Crawl-delay: 30' honoured), cross-checked for U.S. Senate and NJ-8 against the NJ Division of Elections official lists (Senate 07/27/2026; House 09/04/2026) — names agree (the county list prints 'Rob Menendez', the state list 'ROB MENENDEZ *'). The county list puts all of Elizabeth in NJ-8. Both lists print candidates' home addresses — none copied. Emails kept only where plainly campaign or official (bookerteam@corybooker.com, info@robmenendez.com, info@veronicaforsenate.com, Jerseyjustin4senate@, njswpcampaign@, councilmantorres@, Isaias.rivera.councilman@; @elizabethnj.org addresses from the city page); every other printed address (yahoo/aol/hotmail/protonmail/personal gmail, a law-firm and a business address) left null. Write-ins skipped; 'No Nomination Made' (Republican) for NJ-8 and for Wards 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
- City of Elizabeth: Mayor and a nine-member City Council (six wards + three at-large), PARTISAN, elected in November on the county ballot. 2026 ballot: all six ward seats (4-year terms) and one at-large seat for an UNEXPIRED term. Incumbents running: Torres (W1), Kiniery (W3), Cedeño (W4), Gallman (W5), Mazza (W6), Gonzalez Lugo (at-large, unexpired; she holds the third at-large seat won in Nov 2024 by Frank J. Cuesta per the county results — how the vacancy arose was not read). Ward 2: Nelson Gonzalez is on the council page but not on the ballot; Isaias J. Rivera (Dem; an Elizabeth Board of Education member elected Nov 2025 per the county results) v Glenn Maldonado (Rep). Ward 6 adds Janei Holder (Ind, 'Leadership That Listens'); at-large adds John Alves (Rep). Mayor Bollwage and at-large Perkins-Auguste and Grova (Council President) were elected Nov 2024 — next Mayor/at-large election November 2028; ward seats next 2030.
- Council members, titles, official photos and the two @elizabethnj.org emails from https://www.elizabethnj.org/215/City-Council (read 2026-11-01; the page prints phone numbers — not copied); Mayor from /271/Our-Mayor. elizabethnj.org's robots.txt has a group naming ClaudeBot (same disallows as '*', no crawl-delay) — only allowed pages read. /Copyright: 'All content © 2006-2026 Elizabeth, NJ and its representatives. All rights reserved.' — photos linked, not copied.
- Union County: nine at-large County Commissioners from https://ucnj.org/commissioners/ (2026 Board; Chairman Joseph Bodek, Vice Chair Rebecca Williams); party from the county's official Nov 2024 and Nov 2025 results (Clarity ENR summary JSON, results.enr.clarityelections.com — robots.txt 404). Commissioners recorded at level 'municipal' with jurisdiction kind 'county' (the mapping has no county level). Sheriff Peter Corvelli (sheriff page) is running again. County Clerk: Joanne Rajoppi (re-elected Nov 2025 per the county results) died in July 2026 — ucnj.org press release 2026-07-16 'Statement from Union County on the passing of Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi' (title read from the sitemap, release not opened); the seat is on the 2026 ballot (5-year term, Tai Cooper Dem v Jimmy Diaz, Jr. Rep) and Deputy Clerk Clara C. Fernández signs the lists. Nobody recorded as sitting Clerk.
- State: whole city in Legislative District 20 (Census geocoder at City Hall, 50 Winfield Scott Plaza, and all 38 points of an 8x8 grid that fell inside 'Elizabeth city'). Senator Joseph Cryan from the Division of Elections' certified 2023 State Senate results; Assemblymembers Annette Quijano and Ed Rodriguez from the 2025 General Assembly District 20 results (Elizabeth City: Quijano 13,755, Rodriguez 13,428, Bucco 4,253). The NJ Legislature (www.njleg.state.nj.us, www.njleg.gov, pub.njleg.gov) refused connections even for robots.txt — not bypassed; current tenure not confirmed on member pages. No state legislative contest in 2026 (Senate and Assembly next November 2027); Governor Mikie Sherrill (nj.gov/governor) next elected 2029.
- Federal: Senators Booker and Kim from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (senate.gov not tried — 403 to robots.txt in earlier NJ runs); Rep. Robert Menendez (NJ-8) from house.gov/representatives, read 2026-11-01. NJ-8 Republican: 'No Nomination Made'.
- Also on Elizabeth's Nov 3 ballot but not recorded as people (school level skipped by the US brief): Elizabeth Board of Education, 3-year term, vote for three — Maria Z. Carvalho, Jerry D. Jacobs, Rosa E. Moreno Ortega (positions 1-1..1-3) and Maria Lorenz (2-1), from the Union County Clerk's School Board 2026 Candidate List (8/12/2026). Statewide or county public questions, if any, were not read (sample ballots not opened).
- No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone — no candidate statements read. Ballotpedia/Wikipedia/news not used. 0 web searches.
