Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Candidates: Florida Division of Elections Candidate Tracking System, 2026 General Election (elecid 20261103-GEN), County = Volusia, Status = ALL (except WIT/DNQ), retrieved 2026-10-31 (no robots.txt — 404). Kept Qualified for U.S. Senate, FL-6, Governor (with running mates), SD-8 and HD-28 (City Hall). Dropped: Defeated, write-ins (WRI: Alec Pavlik FL-6; Kathy Anderson, Erik Morris Governor), Cabinet, judicial, FL-7 (Dalton, Dennison, Elijah — not in the city) and other Volusia legislative seats.
  • Municipal: City Commission from https://www.daytonabeach.gov/384/City-Commission (www.codb.us redirects there; both robots.txt files are identical; a ClaudeBot group exists and does not disallow these paths; the general Crawl-delay 10 was honoured between pages). Page text: 'The City Commission of Daytona Beach consists of seven elected officials - one mayor and six zone commissioners. They each serve four-year terms, and elections are staggered on even-numbered years.' 2026 candidates from the City Clerk's '2026 Municipal Elections Candidates' PDF (updated 08-19-26); the Clerk's 'Call for Regular Municipal Election' says Commissioner Zone 1 and Zone 3 appear on the November 3, 2026 ballot; the 'Call for Regular Primary Municipal Election' (August 18, 2026) covered Zones 3 and 5. Zone 5: Willie F. Williams 'Duly Elected 08-18-26' (not yet on the Commission page; not a person row). Brittany Yisrael (Zone 5) Withdrawn. The Clerk list prints candidate phones and emails; phones never copied, and only the plainly campaign email (vote4monicaparis@) kept. Municipal offices non-partisan.
  • Districts: City Hall geocodes to CD-6, SD-8, HD-28. Census relationship file: Daytona Beach city wholly in current FL-6. A 0.02-degree grid gave 38 points in the city: all CD-6 and HD-28; SD-8 (37) and SD-7 (1). Only the City Hall seats listed.
  • Federal officeholders from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json. Governor DeSantis row reused from the 2026-10-15 jacksonville reading (flgov.com disallows Claude agents). State legislators from flsenate.gov (Crawl-delay 10 honoured) and the flhouse.gov Representatives list.
  • Process slips (honest record): the first request to www.codb.us after reading its robots.txt guessed a wrong path (/97/City-Commission) that redirected to a login page on daytonabeach.ims16.com — that host's robots.txt was not requested first; nothing from it was used and no login attempted. Three pages were fetched via the codb.us → daytonabeach.gov redirect before daytonabeach.gov's robots.txt was requested separately; it proved identical and allows those paths.
  • No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone. Ballotpedia, Wikipedia and news not used for this city. One User-Agent throughout: 'ResearchUpon-politics/1.0 (civic research; +https://researchupon.com)'.
