Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor and the four Commissioners from https://www.daytonohio.gov/602/Meet-Your-Commissioners and /159/City-Commission-Office, retrieved 2026-10-31: 'The Dayton City Commission is comprised of the Mayor and four Commissioners. Each member is elected at-large on a nonpartisan basis for four-year, overlapped terms.' Terms as printed: Turner-Sloss (Mayor) 2026-2030, Joseph 2024-2028, Shaw 2024-2028, Fairchild 2026-2030, Beckham 2026-2030. Portraits linked from that page. Only the Mayor's official email is printed on a page read (/548/Meet-the-Mayor); commissioners' emails sit behind directory pages not read, so null (the office address commission@daytonohio.gov is the shared contact). Crawl-delay 10 honoured. Next Dayton municipal election: November 2027 (Joseph's and Shaw's seats, terms ending 2028), with the nonpartisan primary earlier in 2027 — inferred from printed terms.
  • Candidates: the Montgomery County Board of Elections (boe.ohio.gov/montgomery) and the Ohio Secretary of State (ohiosos.gov, liveresults.ohiosos.gov) all answer HTTP 403 'Ohio Secretary of State's Office Website Maintenance' (Cloudflare) even for robots.txt — not bypassed. Statewide and OH-10 candidates are therefore taken from the Butler County Board of Elections' official FWAB Election Notice (Form 120, prescribed by the Secretary of State; updated 46-day notice, printed 10/02/2026) — Butler is partly in OH-10, and the notice prints the 10th District precincts as 'Montgomery County (majority), Butler County (part), Greene County'. Write-ins (Ula/Lehnerd, R. Turner/J. Turner, Grady/Neutzling, Hill/Manley for Governor; Faris, Holliman, Telymonde for Senate) skipped. 'Other-party candidate' Greg Levy recorded with partyShort Independent, as in us-cleveland.
  • NOT CAPTURED — Ohio Senate SD-6 member and Ohio House HD-36 member and candidates. Both lie in Montgomery County only; no official source was reachable: ohiohouse.gov, www.ohiosenate.gov and www.legislature.ohio.gov did not answer (connection timeouts, 2026-10-31, as in earlier runs); boe.ohio.gov and ohiosos.gov are behind the Cloudflare challenge. A third-party aggregator (The Ballot Brief, https://theballotbrief.com/state/ohio/montgomery-county/ohio-house-district-36, seen only in a search summary) says HD-36 has 'Rose Lounsbury' (Democrat) and 'Andrea White' (incumbent Republican) on the November ballot — not recorded as people because it is not an official list. Fill from the Montgomery County BOE candidate list when it is reachable.
  • Districts: Census geocoder (robots 404) at City Hall gave OH-10, SD-6, HD-36. A 10x10 grid (59 points inside 'Dayton city'): OH-10 on every point (120th and 119th maps); Ohio Senate 6 on every point; Ohio House 38 (31), 36 (9), 37 (3) on the 2026 layer. So three House districts cover the city; only City Hall's HD-36 is in scope. Slivers under the grid spacing could be missed.
  • Sitting federal members: OH-10 from house.gov/representatives; senators from the CC0 legislators-current.json (senate.gov not used). Governor DeWine carried from the us-cleveland reading of the Cuyahoga BOE Elected Officials List.
  • Robots/terms: www.daytonohio.gov robots.txt has an AI-crawler group naming ClaudeBot that disallows only admin/search/calendar/RSS-type paths; cms2.revize.com robots allows PDFs (/*.pdf) for '*' and disallows everything else, so only the PDF was fetched; geocoding.geo.census.gov no robots.txt; house.gov allows /representatives. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone (the Commission bios are the City's biographies, not campaign statements).
