Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Candidates: Scott County Auditor's official sample ballots for the November 3, 2026 General Election, linked from elections.scottcountyiowa.gov/elections/info/2026_gubernatorial_general_election_2026_11_03/ (retrieved 2026-10-31). Ballot Style 33 '(D31) City of Davenport' is the record source; styles 34 (D32), 35 (D33) and 37 (D41) carry the same SD-49/HD-98 contests and style 36 (D34) carries HD-97 (Adam Peters, Democratic v Charlie Helmick, Republican — not recorded). Contest/candidate pairing confirmed from the ballot's word positions. sos.iowa.gov was not used (its robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot/anthropic-ai, per earlier agents). Write-ins skipped.
  • Not captured: other statewide offices (Secretary of State Peterman v Pate; Treasurer Norwood v Smith; Agriculture Jones v Naig; Attorney General Willems v Bird; Auditor Wettach v Cournoyer) are on the ballot but outside the brief — only Cournoyer is recorded, as the sitting Lt. Governor. Scott County offices, judges and measures not recorded.
  • Districts: Census Geocoder at City Hall (41.5222, -90.5770) gave Davenport city, CD-1 (120th), SD-49 and HD-98 (2026). No grid was run; five Davenport sample-ballot styles all show IA-1 and SD-49, and HD-97 and HD-98 both appear, so at least two House districts cover the city (likely more across 8 wards — not counted). Only City Hall's are recorded.
  • Municipal: Scott County Auditor 'Elected Officials: City' page (retrieved 2026-10-31): Mayor Jason Gordon; Aldermen Kyle Gripp and Jazmin Newton (At Large), Rick Dunn (Ward 1), Tim Dunn (2), Paul Vasquez (3), Jade Burkholder (4), John Blunk (5), Benjamin Jobgen (6), Mark Holloway Sr. (7), Matt Lienen (8); all 'Term Ends: 2027, Term Length: 2 Years'. Official @davenportiowa.com emails decoded from the page's protected links; no phones copied. Davenport's city ballot is non-partisan. Next city election: November 2027 (Iowa regular city elections are in odd-numbered years) — Mayor and all ten aldermen.
  • Blocked: www.davenportiowa.com robots.txt carries a group naming ClaudeBot/anthropic-ai with 'Disallow: /' — the city's own council page was not read; the county auditor's list was used instead.
  • Federal: house.gov Directory (Miller-Meeks) and CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (Grassley to 2029, Ernst to 2027); senate.gov not used. State: legis.iowa.gov Senate and House member lists (robots allows; 91st GA): SD-49 Cindy Winckler (Democrat), HD-98 Monica Kurth (Democrat). Governor and Lt. Governor from governor.iowa.gov.
  • standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read). No home addresses, phones or personal emails in any row. elections.scottcountyiowa.gov: no robots.txt (404), no terms stated.
