Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor, Vice Mayor, three Councilmembers and the City Treasurer from the City's 'Mayor & City Council' page (coronaca.gov/government/mayor-city-council), retrieved 2026-10-29. Corona is a general law city with a five-member district-elected Council; Mayor and Vice Mayor are chosen by the Council each December; the City Treasurer is elected at large. Official CoronaCA.gov emails as shown on that page; no phones recorded. Municipal offices are non-partisan: party null / partyShort 'None'.
  • City 2026 election: the City Clerk's Election Information page carries a '2026 City Council Candidates' table (Pulled Papers / Returned Papers / Qualified). All eight listed candidates show a Qualified date: District 1 Casillas (incumbent), Limon, Morgan; District 4 Alexander, Zamaro (incumbent Steiner not listed: open seat); District 5 Speake (incumbent), Mirshafiee, Connell. That table is the city's official list; the Riverside County Registrar (voteinfo.net) is behind Cloudflare and was not used, and the SOS candidate PDF host was not fetched. The city publishes no ballot designations or candidate statements, so standsFor is null throughout. Write-in candidates (nomination period 9/7-10/20/2026) are excluded. Next municipal election after this: November 2028 (Districts 2 and 3 and City Treasurer, by the four-year cycle; not stated on the city page).
  • Terms: the City of Corona Website Terms of Use (coronaca.gov/about-us/terms-of-use) prohibit modification, re-use, distribution or mirroring of site text, images or other content without written permission. Only facts (names, offices, districts, dates, official emails) are recorded; no site text is copied; photos are linked, not copied. Note: the council page was fetched immediately before the terms page was read in this run.
  • District coverage: 11x11 point grid over Corona's bounding box (33.79-33.93 N, 117.46-117.68 W) sent to the Census Geocoder by coordinates only; the geocoder was degraded (67 of 121 ACS2025_Current requests failed, 6 of 14 Current_Current 120th-layer requests failed), so coverage is partial. Of 14 points resolved inside Corona city: 119th Congress CA-41 (14); 2026 (120th) map CA-40 (5) and CA-35 (3), 6 unresolved; State Senate SD-31 (4), SD-32 (10); Assembly AD-58 (4), AD-63 (10). City Hall (33.8775,-117.5655) falls in CA-41 (119th), CA-35 (2026 map), SD-31 and AD-58; only City Hall's legislators are listed, per the brief. CA-35 and CA-40 candidates are both listed because both 2026 districts cover part of the city. Not re-queried, to keep load on the degraded service low; slivers of other districts may be missed.
  • Federal and state rows were not re-fetched: Padilla, Schiff, Calvert (CA-41), Governor Newsom, Becerra, Hilton, SD-31 Sabrina Cervantes and the AD-58 contest (Castillo vs Clarissa Cervantes) are copied from the us-riverside record (2026-10-22), whose districts are the same; CA-35 (Torres, Cargile) is copied from the us-ontario record (2026-10-23), the only existing record covering CA-35. Both read the California SOS 'Certified List of Candidates for the November 3, 2026, General Election' (certified 2026-08-27).
  • Robots/terms: www.coronaca.gov robots.txt has no disallow rules (sitemap only); geocoding.geo.census.gov has no robots.txt (404). The Census Geocoder's Current_Current vintage returned HTTP 502 for layers=all, so the 120th-district layer (54) was requested alone. One User-Agent throughout; no forms, logins or terms accepted. No street addresses recorded.
