Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor from https://www.clevelandohio.gov/city-hall/office-mayor (no portrait on the page); the 15 ward councilmembers from https://www.clevelandcitycouncil.gov/council/council-members and each /ward-N page (photo and official @clevelandcitycouncil.gov email from that page), leadership (President Griffin, Majority Leader Santana, Majority Whip Slife) from /council/leadership; retrieved 2026-10-22. clevelandcitycouncil.org 301-redirects to clevelandcitycouncil.gov. Cross-checked against the Cuyahoga BOE 2026 Elected Officials List (Municipal sheet): all 16 names match (BOE prints 'Joe Jones' for Joseph T. Jones and 'Justin Bibb'). Cleveland's ballot is non-partisan: party null, partyShort 'None'. The charter creates no other city-wide elected office (the Clerk of Council is chosen by council); the elected Cleveland Municipal Court judges and Clerk of Courts are court offices and are not listed.
  • Council is 15 wards (BOE list Ward 1-15). Mayor and all council seats were elected November 2025; the BOE list prints every term ending 2030-01-06. Next Cleveland municipal election: November 2029 (general; Mayor and all 15 wards), with the non-partisan primary earlier in 2029 — date not yet published; inferred from the term end, verify at boe.cuyahogacounty.gov.
  • Congressional districts covering the city: Census geocoder (coordinates endpoint, no robots.txt rules — 404) sampled on a 14x10 grid over the city's bounding box (44 points inside Cleveland city, place 3916000, ~2.5 km spacing) plus a point at Hopkins airport: every point is OH-11 on both the 120th Congress map (vintage Current_Current) and the 119th (ACS2025_Current). The Cuyahoga BOE list carries OH-7 too, but OH-7 covers only suburbs on this sampling; Max Miller (OH-7) is not listed. A sliver under the grid spacing could be missed. State districts covering the city on the 2026 map (same grid): Ohio Senate 23, 24, 21, 18; Ohio House 20, 13, 15, 16, 22, 14, 21, 19, 18 (9 districts). Only the city-hall districts (SD-23, HD-20) are listed, as the brief directs. City hall coordinates 41.5054, -81.6927.
  • Sitting U.S. Representative from https://www.house.gov/representatives (Ohio table, retrieved 2026-10-22; no photos listed). U.S. Senators, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, SD-23 and HD-20 from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections '2026 Elected Officials List' (master-elected-officials-list.xlsx, cover 'Revised' 2026-09-22), an official county elections roster. senate.gov returned HTTP 403 to robots.txt itself; ohiosenate.gov and ohiohouse.gov refused connections (port 443 timeouts) — no legislature pages, photos or official websites read for state members. The BOE workbook prints officeholders' home street addresses: none copied.
  • Candidates: Cuyahoga County Board of Elections 'November 3, 2026 General Election Candidate List' PDF (stamped 10/15/2026 3:57 pm), linked from https://boe.cuyahogacounty.gov/candidates, retrieved 2026-10-22. Names and parties as printed; joint Governor/Lt Governor tickets split into one row each. Excluded: write-ins ('Yes - Write-In': 3 Governor tickets, 3 U.S. Senate), withdrawn and Board-removed filers (Ron Ula & Michael C. Lehnerd withdrawn 10/15/2026; Elijah Knoll SD-23 removed; Donna Walker-Brown HD-20 withdrawn 6/2/2026; Teri Wang HD-20 removed), and offices outside this record's scope (other statewide offices, county offices, judges, other legislative districts). The list states candidates who withdraw less than 70 days before election day stay printed on the ballot. Greg Levy is printed 'Nonpartisan | No Partidista' (partyShort Independent). The Ohio SOS statewide list was not read: ohiosos.gov is behind a Cloudflare challenge per the Columbus run (not retried here).
  • Open seats on the 2026 ballot: Governor (DeWine, term-limited), Lieutenant Governor (Tressel), Ohio Senate 23 (Antonio, term ending 2026-12-31), Ohio House 20 (Upchurch, term ending 2026-12-31). Incumbent-running: Husted (U.S. Senate special), Shontel Brown (OH-11, printed 'Shontel M. Brown'). Unopposed: Eugene Miller (D), HD-20 — the only valid candidate printed.
  • Robots/terms: boe.cuyahogacounty.gov (robots.txt has only named-bot groups; no '*' rule; disclaimer: public service, no accuracy guarantee, not the official record; no reuse terms), clevelandcitycouncil.gov (robots allows '*' with Content-Signal search=yes, ai-train=no, use=reference; footer 'Copyright ©. All Rights Reserved.'), clevelandohio.gov (robots allows; 'Copyright © 2026. All Rights Reserved.'), house.gov (allows), geocoding.geo.census.gov (robots 404; public Census service). tigerweb.geo.census.gov returned 'Request Rejected' to robots.txt, so it was not used. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded; emails kept are official @clevelandcitycouncil.gov / @clevelandohio.gov addresses. standsFor left null for everyone: council ward bios are third-person office text, not the members' own statements, and no candidate statements were read.
