Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Districts: Census geocoder (Public_AR_Current / Current_Current; '120th Congressional Districts', '2026 State Legislative Districts') at the City Building, 102 N Neil St, gives IL-13, SD-52, HD-103. A 6x6 grid (26 points inside 'Champaign city') gave IL-13 26/26, SD-52 26/26, HD-103 15 and HD-104 11. HD-104 is Brandun Schweizer (R) per the ILGA House list — not recorded as a person (City Building rule). Region is shown as Champaign-Urbana; this record covers the City of Champaign only — www.urbanaillinois.us did not answer (connection refused on robots.txt), so no Urbana officials are listed.
  • Candidates: Madison County (IL) Clerk '2026 General Election' candidate list (scanned PDF, created 2026-09-30; robots on madisoncountyil.gov 404 and cms4files.revize.com allows *.pdf — note: the revize robots.txt was read just after the PDF request, a procedural slip recorded honestly). Taken: U.S. Senator (Tracy R, Stratton D, Harrington Jr ACP), Governor/Lt Governor tickets (Pritzker/Mitchell D, Bailey/Del Mar R, Corbett/Schofield IND), IL-13 (Budzinski D, Wilson R). Matches the earlier us-springfield reading of the same list. Attorney General (Raoul D v Fioretti R), Secretary of State (Giannoulias D v Harris R), Comptroller (Croke D v Drew R), Treasurer (Frerichs D v Solomon R) are on the ballot but not listed as people (brief scope). Party as printed (D, R, ACP, IND).
  • BLOCKED: champaigncountyclerk.com and www.champaigncountyclerk.com (Champaign County Clerk, the election authority) answer robots.txt with a CloudFront 'Request blocked' 403 — not retried. elections.il.gov robots 'Disallow: /' (earlier runs). So the SD-52 / HD-103 general-election candidates are NOT captured; Faraci and Ammons are recorded as elected only. A web search found no other official list for those seats.
  • Federal: Senators from the CC0 legislators-current.json (Durbin term ends 2027-01-03, not running; Duckworth to 2029); IL-13 from house.gov/representatives. State: Governor and Lt Governor from the Sangamon County Clerk 'State Officials' page (robots allows; Crawl-delay 5 honoured); Faraci from his ILGA member page and Ammons from the ILGA House member list (www.ilga.gov robots allows /Senate and /House member pages; Crawl-delay 10 honoured). ILGA member pages print Capitol and district office phones/addresses — not copied.
  • Municipal: Mayor and eight council members from champaignil.gov/council (robots allows all). The page: 'nine, non-partisan elected representatives. The Mayor and three At-Large Council members are elected by voters from across Champaign. Five District Council members … All serve four-year, staggered terms. Elections are held every two years.' Only the shared council@champaignil.gov address is printed, so individual emails are null; photo URLs are the page's own portraits on champaignil.b-cdn.net, linked only. No other city-wide elected office is named on the page (the council also serves as City of Champaign Township Board of Trustees).
  • City elections: Illinois municipal elections are held at the April consolidated election in odd years, so no City of Champaign office is on the 2026-11-03 ballot. Next: April 6, 2027 consolidated election (Mayor and the three At-Large seats, whose cycle was last on the ballot in 2023) — inferred from the staggered cycle on the council page, not from an election list. Council meetings move to the CityView Room at Illinois Terminal from December 1, 2026 (council page).
  • standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read). No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. Ballotpedia/Wikipedia/news not used as a source. One User-Agent throughout: 'ResearchUpon-politics/1.0 (civic research; +https://researchupon.com)'.
