Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor and four City Commissioners from the City's Elected Officials / Board of Commissioners page (bgky.org/city-commission) and each member's page, retrieved 2026-11-01. The page: "Made up of four Commissioners (who serve two-year terms) and a Mayor (who serves a four-year term, with no more than three consecutive terms ...)"; "Commissioners serve at large". Official @bgky.org emails as printed on the member pages; phone numbers not copied. Official portrait URLs linked (not copied). Bowling Green has a City Manager (appointed, not recorded).
  • Municipal election 2026: the four commission seats are on the November 3 ballot. Candidates (nonpartisan) per the SOS County Filings for Warren County, office 'City Legislative Body', description 'BOWLING GREEN CITY COMMISSION', and the Warren County Clerk's Candidate Filings list: Carlos D'Angelo Bailey, Dana Beasley Brown, Melinda Hill, Sue Parrigin (all incumbents), Thomas Alan Morris, Don Langley. Brian Fishback filed as a write-in (skipped). The SOS 'Mayor' search for Warren County lists only Plum Springs, Oakland, Smiths Grove and Woodburn — no Bowling Green mayoral filing; the SOS notes county filings reach its database with a lag. Next municipal election after 2026: commission seats again in November 2028.
  • Districts: City Hall (1017 College St; 36.9929,-86.4432) geocodes to KY-2, Senate District 9, House District 20 (Census geocoder, 2026 layers). Samples elsewhere in the city: (-86.38,37.00) SD-16/HD-19; (-86.50,36.93) SD-32/HD-17. So at least three Senate and three House districts cover the city; only City Hall's members are recorded.
  • Federal: Guthrie from house.gov/representatives (read 2026-11-01). Senators McConnell and Paul and Governor Beshear carried over from the us-lexington record. U.S. Senate candidates (Barr, Booker, Campbell; write-in Thomas Michael Murphy skipped) from the Warren County Clerk list, matching the SOS list recorded in us-lexington. KY-2 candidates from the SOS US Representative list (read 2026-11-01): S. Brett Guthrie (Republican Party), Megan Wingfield (Democratic Party), Thomas A. Loecken (Independent); the Warren County list agrees.
  • Filing lists print P.O. boxes, a few street addresses and personal emails — none copied; only the campaign-named address wingfieldforcongress@gmail.com kept. legislature.ky.gov profiles print Frankfort phones — not copied; official @kylegislature.gov emails kept.
  • Unopposed: HD-20 (Kevin Jackson, R) — the only filing for the district on both lists.
  • Robots/terms: www.bgky.org ('User-agent: * Disallow:' — no rules); warrencountyclerk.ky.gov (Yoast, no rules); web.sos.ky.gov (robots 404; the County Filings page is an ASP.NET search form — two searches posted: Warren/Mayor and Warren/City Legislative Body; no terms or login); legislature.ky.gov (paths allowed); www.house.gov (allowed). standsFor null for everyone.
