Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal (sitting): City of Boulder City Council page (bouldercolorado.gov/government/city-council, retrieved 2026-10-31) lists 8 members: Mayor Aaron Brockett, Mayor Pro Tem Tara Winer, and Councilmembers Taishya Adams, Matt Benjamin, Rob Kaplan, Tina Marquis, Ryan Schuchard, Nicole Speer, with their term years. Council has nine seats (Mayor + 8 at-large); the ninth is vacant — news (Boulder Reporting Lab / Axios Boulder) says Councilmember Mark Wallach resigned in July 2026; the council page simply omits the seat. Council-page phone/address not copied; no individual emails on that page.
  • Municipal (candidates): City Clerk page '2026 City of Boulder Mayoral and City Council Candidates' (retrieved 2026-10-31): 'Boulder voters will elect one Mayor and five City Council members in the City of Boulder's Nov. 3, 2026, Municipal Election' — 6 mayoral and 13 council candidates with date certified. The page marks some names '**' = 'Receiving Matching Funds'; the markers' placement in the HTML is ambiguous so matching-fund status is NOT recorded. Mayor is elected by ranked-choice voting (second time, per bouldercolorado.gov/election-guidelines search snippet). Incumbent Councilmember Taishya Adams is running for Mayor, not re-election to council. Non-partisan; party null.
  • Next municipal election after this one: November 2028 (seats with 2025-2028 terms) — inferred from the term years printed on the council page; not separately verified.
  • Districts: City Hall (1777 Broadway; 40.01556, -105.27930) geocodes (Census Geocoder, Current) to CO-2, State Senate 18 and State House 10. Boulder lies entirely within CO-2 to our knowledge; other legislative districts covering the city were not sampled. Only City Hall's legislators are recorded as people.
  • Federal and statewide rows (U.S. Senators, U.S. Senate candidates, Governor/Lt. Governor and their candidates, CO-2 Neguse/Dennison/Kent) carried over from the us-fort-collins record (2026-10-29), every name re-checked against the SOS list fetched 2026-10-31 (still 'Last updated September 15, 2026, 11:09 AM'). Sitting members from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json fetched 2026-10-31.
  • State: Amabile (SD-18) and Joseph (HD-10) from leg.colorado.gov/legislators (official coleg.gov emails as printed; capitol phones not copied). HD-10: Junie Joseph is the only candidate on the SOS list — unopposed. SD-18 is not on the 2026 list.
  • Robots/terms: bouldercolorado.gov (single '*' group, pages used allowed; no terms found beyond a privacy policy), coloradosos.gov (allows /pubs/), leg.colorado.gov (allows /legislators), unitedstates.github.io and geocoding.geo.census.gov (robots 404). No Claude/anthropic group on any host. Boulder County elections site not used. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read).
