Congressional district (city hall): Georgia's 12th congressional district (City Hall, the Municipal Building at 33.47025, -81.96145). It is the only U.S. House contest on Richmond County's countywide ballot, so the whole city is in GA-12 — Rick W. Allen (Republican)

Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Region check: local/data/us-augusta.json display = "Augusta, Georgia", the consolidated Augusta-Richmond County government (Census: "Augusta-Richmond County consolidated government (balance)", which leaves out Hephzibah and Blythe). Mayor and Commission are treated as municipal.
- Candidates: the Augusta-Richmond County Board of Elections "Official Countywide Sample Ballot, November 3, 2026 General and Special Election" (augustaga.gov DocumentCenter 21864) and its "Qualified Candidates for the November 3, 2026 General and Special Election" (21746; local offices only: school board and Blythe). Both are linked from https://www.augustaga.gov/3345/2026-Election-Information, retrieved 2026-10-22. The federal/state qualified list on mvp.sos.ga.gov was not used: another agent found sos.ga.gov and mvp.sos.ga.gov behind a Cloudflare challenge on 2026-10-22. Party "Democrat" on the ballot is recorded as Democratic. No Libertarian or independent candidates are printed for these offices.
- Contests: U.S. Senate Jon Ossoff (D, inc.) vs Mike Collins (R); GA-12 Rick W. Allen (R, inc.) vs Ceretta Smith (D); Governor open: Rick Jackson (R) vs Keisha Lance Bottoms (D); SD-22 Harold V. Jones II (D, inc.) and HD-129 Karlton L. Howard (D, inc.) are both unopposed (only a write-in line). Other legislative contests on the county ballot: SD-23 Max Burns (R, inc.) vs Shayna Boston (D); HD-126 L.C. Myles Jr. (D, inc.) vs William C. Harris (R); HD-127 Mark Newton (R, inc.) vs Channing Von-T Taylor (D); HD-130 David Carson (R) vs Sheila Clark Nelson (D) (no incumbent printed; seat had a March 10 / April 7, 2026 special election); HD-132 Brian L. Prince (D, inc.) unopposed. These are recorded only here, per the brief (City Hall seats only as people).
- Districts covering the county, from the countywide sample ballot: U.S. House 12 only; State Senate 22, 23; State House 126, 127, 129, 130, 132. A point-in-polygon grid of the city boundary was not run.
- Sitting federal members: house.gov/representatives (Georgia 12th: Allen, Rick, R), retrieved 2026-10-22; senators from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (Ossoff term ends 2027-01-03, Warnock 2029-01-03). Governor Brian P. Kemp from gov.georgia.gov (page title). State legislators: SOS official November 5, 2024 general results for Richmond County (results.sos.ga.gov public API; isOfficialResults true): SD-22 and HD-129 incumbents won unopposed. Marked "unofficial": true because they are not from the General Assembly roster (legis.ga.gov is a token-gated app and was not worked around).
- Municipal: the Mayor and the 10 Commissioners (Districts 1-8 plus super districts 9 and 10) with printed terms come from the Augusta Commission page, retrieved 2026-10-22. The official @augustaga.gov emails are the addresses the page shows behind its Cloudflare email-obfuscation links, decoded as a browser shows them. Photo URLs are the page's own ImageRepository images, linked not copied. Augusta elections are nonpartisan, so party is null.
- 2026 municipal election: May 19, 2026 nonpartisan general (Mayor; Commission Districts 2, 4, 6, 8, 10), with a June 16, 2026 runoff for Mayor (Garnett L. Johnson (I) vs Steven B. Kendrick) and District 8 (Michael Cioffi vs Evett Williams), all from the official County sample ballots and the qualified-candidates list (DocumentCenter 21125, 21519, 21088). The County results pages (appweb2.augustaga.gov/election/results/electab_gp_2026 and electab_gpro_2026) could not be reached: port 443 refused and port 80 returned "502 Connection timed out", even for robots.txt. So no outcome is recorded as official. Search snippets from local news (The Augusta Press, "Kendrick wins Augusta mayor's race"; WRDW) say Steven Kendrick won the mayoral runoff and Evett Williams won District 8; no article was opened. Winners take office in January 2027; the Commission page still shows the sitting members. Re-check when the County results host answers.
- Next municipal election: the 2028 nonpartisan general (with the May 2028 primary) for Commission Districts 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, whose terms end in 2028. The next mayoral election is in 2030. These dates are inferred from the 4-year staggered terms printed on the Commission page; no official calendar for those years was read.
- Not recorded as people: county constitutional officers elected countywide (Sheriff Eugene Brantley, Tax Commissioner T. Chris Johnson, Clerk of Superior Court Hattie Sullivan, Coroner Mark Bowen; listed on augustaga.gov/1429/Elected-Officials, none on the 2026 ballot), the Marshal, the judges, the Solicitor-General and the District Attorney. They are created by the state constitution or courts, not the charter, the same as us-atlanta. School board is skipped per the brief (its 2026 candidates are on the ballot above).
- Robots/terms: www.augustaga.gov robots.txt allows these paths (it disallows /Search, /CivicAlerts.aspx, /Calendar.aspx, /map.aspx etc.; Crawl-delay 10 was honoured; the AI-crawler block names ClaudeBot and others with the same Disallow list). Terms: "All content © 2006-2026 Augusta and its representatives. All rights reserved." There is no reuse licence, so photos are linked only. house.gov and gov.georgia.gov robots allow these pages. results.sos.ga.gov has no robots.txt (404). geocoding.geo.census.gov has no robots.txt. Unreachable: appweb2.augustaga.gov. Not tried: sos.ga.gov / mvp.sos.ga.gov (Cloudflare, per the other Georgia agent) and senate.gov (Akamai 403, same).
- No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. The County qualified-candidates lists print home addresses, phones and gmail addresses; none were copied. standsFor is null for everyone because no candidate statements were read.
