Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Region check: local/data/us-atlantic-city.json is Atlantic City, New Jersey (centre 39.3709,-74.4670).
  • Municipal: Mayor and nine Council members from the City's own elected-officials data (https://www.acnj.gov/api/data/GetElectedOfficialsData, the list the site's Elected Officials widget renders) and each bio page https://www.acnj.gov/Officials/Bio/<slug> (read 2026-10-31). Six ward seats print 'Term End: December 31, 2027'; the three at-large seats print 'Term Start: January 1, 2026 - Term End: December 31, 2029'. Atlantic City holds partisan November elections, but the City pages print no party: party null. Portraits linked from /_Content/img/officials/, not copied. No emails or phones are printed on the bios.
  • City election 2026: CONFIRMED none — the Atlantic County Clerk's official 'Candidates List 2026 General' (https://www.atlanticcountyclerk.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Candidates-List-2026-General-8-12-26-1.pdf, dated 8-12-26, linked from /elections-2/candidate-info/, read 2026-11-01) prints the heading 'Atlantic City' with no contest under it. This matches the City's printed terms (wards to 2027, at-large to 2029). Next city election: November 2027 (six ward seats) — inferred from the printed term ends, not read from a City calendar. The Mayor's bio prints no term dates.
  • Districts: Census Geocoder at City Hall (1301 Bacharach Blvd, 08401): Atlantic City city, Congressional District 2 (120th), State Senate District 2, Assembly District 02 (2026 layers). The whole city lies in Atlantic County inside NJ-2 and LD-2 (LD-2 is 'ATLANTIC (part)' on the official list and includes Atlantic City in the 2025 results).
  • Federal: NJ-2 member from https://www.house.gov/representatives (robots allows; read 2026-10-31). Senators Booker and Kim, Governor Sherrill and the four U.S. Senate candidates carried from us-toms-river (same statewide contest; NJ Division of Elections Official List of Candidates for US Senate dated 07/27/2026, re-fetched 2026-11-01).
  • Candidates: NJ Division of Elections Official List, Candidates for House of Representatives, General Election 11/03/2026, dated 09/04/2026 (read 2026-11-01). Second Congressional District: JEFF VAN DREW * Republican, ZACK MULLOCK Democratic, RAMON MORA JR. INDEPENDENT. The list prints P.O. box and street addresses — none copied. Write-ins skipped.
  • State: www.njleg.state.nj.us unreachable on earlier runs (robots timeout / connection refused) — not retried for each person. LD-2 legislators taken from the Division of Elections' official 2023 State Senate and 2025 General Assembly District 2 results and flagged unofficial:true. No Legislature or Governor contest in 2026 (Governor elected 2025; Assembly 2027; Senate 2027).
  • County contests on that list (not recorded as people): County Commissioner At-Large and District 3, among others. The list prints candidates' home street addresses — none copied. Not recorded: Atlantic County Executive / Commissioners / Clerk / Sheriff and the Atlantic City Board of Education.
  • Robots/terms: www.acnj.gov robots.txt (User-agent *, Disallow /ads_admin/ only); www.nj.gov robots allows /state/elections/; house.gov allows /representatives; geocoding.geo.census.gov no robots.txt (404). standsFor null throughout.
  • Robots: www.atlanticcountyclerk.org robots.txt is empty (200, no rules); pages found via its wp-sitemap.
