Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Municipal: Mayor Jim Ross and 8 Council Members (single-member Districts 1-5, At-Large Districts 6-8), from the City of Arlington City Council Members page (arlingtontx.gov), retrieved 2026-10-22. Arlington is a council-manager city; no other city-wide elected office. Municipal offices are non-partisan. Member '-Card' pages are disallowed in robots.txt and were not fetched; the CM-<name> profile pages are allowed and linked as websites. Photos are linked from the council page (the city's Terms of Use prohibit republication of site materials without written permission).
  • No City of Arlington offices are on the 2026-11-03 ballot (the City is not among the entities in Tarrant County's November 2026 election table, and the City's Election Information page lists none). Next municipal general election: Saturday 2027-05-01 - Council Single-Member Districts 1 & 2 and At-Large Districts 6 & 7. Later: 2028-05-06 no council election; 2029-05-05 Mayor, Districts 3, 4, 5 and At-Large 8; 2030-05-04 Districts 1, 2, 6, 7 (City Secretary, Election Information page). 2026 results: May 2 general and special election, June 13 runoff.
  • Congressional districts covering the city: Census TIGERweb polygon for Arlington city (place 4804000) sampled on a 160x160 grid (13,990 points inside the city). 120th Congress map (2025 Texas map used for 2026): TX-6 (5,374 points), TX-30 (4,746), TX-25 (3,870). 119th Congress map (sitting members): TX-25 (9,844), TX-6 (2,634), TX-33 (1,327), TX-30 (185). Sitting members listed for the union (TX-6, 25, 30, 33); candidates only for the three 2025-map districts. Slivers smaller than the grid spacing (~0.15 km) could be missed.
  • City hall is 101 W. Abram St. (address in the city site footer): Census geocoder puts it in Arlington city, TX-6 (120th), State Senate District 9, State House District 101 (2026 layers); TIGERweb 119th layer puts it in TX-25. Tarrant County voting sub-precinct at city hall: 2161-01 (DT2=6, DT3=09, DT4=101). Districts covering the city by the same grid: 4 Texas Senate (SD-22 6,499 points, SD-10 5,332, SD-9 1,366, SD-23 793) and 5 Texas House (HD-101 4,096, HD-94 3,899, HD-96 3,094, HD-92 2,864, HD-95 37 - an edge); only city hall's are listed per the brief.
  • Candidates: Tarrant County Elections 'Find My Ballot' sample ballots for the November 3, 2026 Joint General and Special Elections (election code 522), retrieved 2026-10-22: precinct 2161-018 (city hall; US Senate, TX-6, Governor, SD-9, HD-101), 1631-120 (north Arlington, TX-25) and 2448-047 (south Arlington, TX-30). U.S. Senate and Governor lines are identical on all three. Write-in lines skipped. Party as printed on the ballot (REP/DEM/LIB) mapped to full names. The Texas SOS candidate site (goelect.txelections.civixapps.com) was not used: its robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot. The Find My Ballot page shows a general-reference map disclaimer modal (no terms); its public ballot-lookup endpoint and PDFs were read without clicking or accepting anything.
  • Open seats among those captured: U.S. Senate (Cornyn not on ballot), TX-30 (Crockett not on ballot), HD-101 (Chris Turner not on ballot). Unopposed: Texas House District 101 (Junior Ezeonu, DEM, only printed candidate). Parts of Arlington inside SD-22 also vote in a Senate District 22 special election (unexpired term; candidates on Tarrant's SD22 ballot certification) - not captured, as city hall is in SD-9.
  • Sitting members: U.S. Representatives from https://www.house.gov/representatives (Texas rows: Ellzey TX-6, Williams TX-25, Crockett TX-30, Veasey TX-33), retrieved 2026-10-22. U.S. Senators (Cruz, Cornyn) and party for Chris Turner from Tarrant County's 'Elected Officials Representing Tarrant County as of August 06, 2026' PDF; office mailing addresses and phone numbers there not copied. Governor from Texas SOS Statewide Elected Officials (www.sos.texas.gov; robots.txt empty). SD-9 from senate.texas.gov/member.php?d=9; HD-101 from capitol.texas.gov (TLO, 89th Legislature) because house.texas.gov's robots.txt disallows ClaudeBot. No federal photos (house.gov list has none; congress.gov's robots.txt names AI agents and was not used). No standsFor captured.
  • Robots/terms: arlingtontx.gov (robots allows council and election pages; Terms of Use restrict republication of materials), tarrantcountytx.gov (Crawl-delay 30, honoured; disallows only /en/search.html), gisit.tarrantcounty.com and mapit.tarrantcounty.com (robots.txt 404), geocoding.geo.census.gov (robots.txt 404), tigerweb.geo.census.gov (robots.txt request rejected by firewall page; REST query service answered), house.gov (allows /representatives), senate.texas.gov (allows member pages; disallows /_assets), capitol.texas.gov (allows /Members), www.sos.texas.gov (empty robots.txt), www.senate.gov (HTTP 403 Akamai to robots.txt; not retried or bypassed), congress.gov (not used).
