Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Arlington is a county (no incorporated city); its 'municipal' government is the five-member County Board, elected at-large to staggered four-year terms, plus the elected constitutional officers. All recorded from Arlington County sources: County Board Members page (www.arlingtonva.us, names, roles, bio links, official photo URLs) and the Office of Elections 'Elected Officials' page (vote.arlingtonva.gov; party letters and 'next election' years), both retrieved 2026-10-31. Office street addresses and phone numbers printed there were NOT copied; only official office emails.
  • Candidates: Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) HTML candidate lists for the 2026-11-03 general election — Federal Offices and Local Offices — retrieved 2026-10-31 (robots.txt disallows *.json/*.csv; only HTML pages read). Arlington County rows: Treasurer special (Kim M. Rucker D, Aasim S. Rawoot I), County Board (Matt de Ferranti D incumbent, Audrey R. Clement I, David P. Sisson I), School Board (James Vell Rives IV, Bethany Zecher Sutton — not recorded, school level skipped). The lists print campaign phones and street addresses (some residential) — none copied; personal-looking webmail addresses not copied (campaign-named ones kept). Write-ins excluded. No race is unopposed.
  • U.S. Senate: only Warner's class-2 seat is up (Warner D incumbent v. Mizusawa R). VA-8 (whole county): Beyer D incumbent, Sabio R, Arnoldi L, Sharman I — the same rows the us-alexandria record read on 2026-10-29.
  • State legislators: the Bozman Government Center (2100 Clarendon Blvd) geocodes to SD-40 and HD-2. The County's Elected Officials page lists Senate Districts 39 (Bennett-Parker) and 40 (Favola) and House Districts 1 (Hope), 2 (McClure) and 3 (Lopez) as covering Arlington; only SD-40 and HD-2 members recorded. Neither chamber is on the 2026 ballot (next 2027).
  • Treasurer: Carla de la Pava (D) is still on the County's Elected Officials page, but ELECT's local list has a special election for the unexpired Treasurer term (to 12/31/2027) with no incumbent candidate — recorded as printed, with a note; the vacancy's cause is not stated on the pages read.
  • Next regular County Board elections: 2027 (Coffey, Cunningham), 2028 (Spain), 2029 (Karantonis); constitutional officers 2027 (Clerk 2031), per vote.arlingtonva.gov.
  • Hosts: www.elections.virginia.gov, www.arlingtonva.us, vote.arlingtonva.gov (robots read; pages used allowed — www.vote.arlingtonva.gov 301s to vote.arlingtonva.gov, whose robots.txt was read before any page); www.house.gov (robots allows); geocoding.geo.census.gov and unitedstates.github.io (no robots.txt). One User-Agent throughout; no blocks met. standsFor null for everyone.
