Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Candidates: from the Bernalillo County Clerk's official 2026 General Election Composite Sample Ballot (PDF, uploaded 2026/09, linked from berncoclerk.gov/elections), read by word coordinates. Captured: U.S. Senate, NM-1, NM-2, Governor/Lt. Governor (each joint ticket split into two rows, paired in notes), HD-11. Other contests on the ballot were not captured as people. Write-ins skipped; none listed for these contests.
  • The Secretary of State's certified candidate list lives at candidateportal.servis.sos.state.nm.us (CandidateList.aspx?eid=2796, linked from sos.nm.gov). Its robots.txt returns HTTP 403 (F5 'The requested URL was rejected'), so it was treated as not allowed and not fetched. The county composite ballot is the official list used instead; the SOS 2026 Voter Guide PDF was downloaded but not needed.
  • Open seats: Governor (Lujan Grisham term-limited, not on ballot) and Lt. Governor (Morales not on ballot). Incumbent-running: Luján (U.S. Senate), Stansbury (NM-1), Vasquez (NM-2), Martínez (HD-11, unopposed). Deb Haaland and Stephanie Garcia Richard appear only as candidates; Garcia Richard's current office (Commissioner of Public Lands) is out of scope.
  • Districts: Census TIGERweb polygon for Albuquerque city (place 3502000) sampled on a 150x150 grid (9,982 points inside) against 120th Congress and 2026 state legislative layers. Result by area: NM-1 6,748 points (68%), NM-2 3,234 (32%), no NM-3 — matching the two congressional contests on the county ballot. The city touches 16 NM Senate districts (9-21, 23, 26, 30) and 23 NM House districts (10-22, 24-31, 44, 68). Only city hall's SD-13 and HD-11 are recorded as people. 400 Marquette Ave NW was geocoded because '1 Civic Plaza NW' returned no match.
  • Federal: Representatives from house.gov/representatives (New Mexico table; no photos linked); Senators from the CC0 @unitedstates legislators-current.json (senate.gov not used). Heinrich's class-1 term runs to 2031.
  • State: O'Malley and Martínez from nmlegis.gov member pages (official nmlegis.gov emails as printed; district office addresses and phones not copied; photos linked from /Images/Legislators/, allowed by robots). Governor and Lt. Governor from governor.state.nm.us.
  • Municipal: Mayor Keller and nine councilors from cabq.gov (Find Your Councilor and each district page), plus the 2026-01-05 council release on the swearing-in of the 27th City Council. Albuquerque has no other city-wide elected office. Emails are the councilors' own @cabq.gov addresses where printed; staff addresses not copied (Peña and Champine left null). Photos for Lewis, Rogers, Fiebelkorn, Champine and Grout were not found as static images on their pages.
  • Next municipal election: cabq.gov/vote says 'Election for City Council Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 will be held on November 2, 2027.' The mayor and odd-numbered districts (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) were elected in 2025 and took office 2026-01-04; on four-year terms they are next up in 2029 (inferred, not printed on the pages read). The 2026 ballot carries city charter and GRT questions but no city candidates.
  • Robots/terms: sos.nm.gov (allows all but /wp-admin/), candidateportal.servis.sos.state.nm.us (robots 403 — not used), berncoclerk.gov (Disallow: empty), cabq.gov (all agents allowed; Terms of Use reserve the City's IP in information and images — photos linked only), nmlegis.gov (only *.axd disallowed), governor.state.nm.us (Allow: /), house.gov (allowed), tigerweb/geocoding.geo.census.gov (REST services answered). No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded. standsFor null for everyone (no candidate statements read). No rows are 'unofficial'.
