Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Districts: Census geocoder at City Hall (42.6503,-73.7556; the one-line address did not match) gives NY-20, SD-46, AD-109. A 6x6 grid (15 points inside 'Albany city') found only NY-20, SD-46 and AD-109; the Common Council page also lists 'NY State Assembly 109th District' and 'NY State Senate 46th District' for the city.
  • Candidates NOT captured for NY-20, SD-46 and AD-109. The Albany County Board of Elections (www.albanycountyny.gov; robots allows, 'User-agent: *' grouped with Siteimprove 'Crawl-delay: 20' — honoured) renders its Candidates, Offices to Be Filled and Sample Ballots pages client-side from a CivicPlus content API that needs a bearer token; the served HTML holds no list, so nothing was read and the API was not called. elections.ny.gov answers robots.txt with a Cloudflare 'Just a moment…' challenge. Saratoga and Schenectady County sites (other NY-20 counties) have robots.txt 'User-agent: ClaudeBot / Disallow: /' — not fetched. Montgomery County's BOE page only carries 2025 lists. A web search found no other official 2026 NY-20 list.
  • Governor/Lieutenant Governor rows are copied from us-rochester (Monroe County BOE 'Offices and Office Holders 2026' and the certified 'GE26 Candidates List Certification (10-6-26)'): Hochul (incumbent) with Adrienne E. Adams on Democratic and Working Families lines v Blakeman/Hood on Republican, Conservative and Vote Affordable lines; sitting Lt Governor Antonio Delgado not on the ballot. Statewide contests are identical across counties; not re-read for Albany. State Comptroller and Attorney General are on the ballot but not listed as people.
  • State legislators: AD-109 Gabriella A. Romero from nyassembly.gov (robots disallows only GPTBot). SD-46: www.nysenate.gov is behind Cloudflare (earlier runs; not retried), so the sitting senator is NOT recorded — coordinator to add from an official source.
  • Municipal: Mayor from albanyny.gov 'Meet the Mayor'; Common Council President and the 15 ward members (with Majority Leader and President Pro-Tempore) from 'Albany Common Council Members & Wards' (albanyny.gov robots: 'User-agent: *' Crawl-delay 10 — honoured). Ward boundaries redrawn for the 2025 election, in effect January 1, 2026. Chief City Auditor Sam Fein (an elected citywide office in Albany) from the Office of Audit & Control page. The City Treasurer is also elected citywide, but the Treasurer page names no officeholder — not recorded. No individual official emails are printed on the council page; no city photos linked.
  • City elections: Albany elects its Mayor, Council President, Common Council, Treasurer and Chief City Auditor in odd-numbered years (2025 last); no City of Albany office is on the 2026-11-03 ballot. Next: November 2029 for the four-year citywide and council terms begun January 2026 (inferred from the cycle and the 2025 ward-transition note, not from an election list).
  • Federal: Senators from the CC0 legislators-current.json; NY-20 from house.gov/representatives. standsFor null for everyone. No home addresses, phones or personal emails recorded (the Audit office phone and street address on its page were not copied). One User-Agent throughout.
