Ponce: who represents it, and who is running
Puerto Rico general election (Gobernador, Comisionado Residente, Asamblea Legislativa, alcaldes and legislaturas municipales) votes on 2028-11-07. It elects nothing in 2026: Puerto Rico holds no election on 2026-11-03. Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- No election in Puerto Rico on 2026-11-03. Puerto Rico holds its general election every four years (last 2024-11-05; next 2028-11-07), when it elects the Governor, the Resident Commissioner, the whole Asamblea Legislativa, every alcalde and every legislatura municipal. The only 2026 CEE election shown on ceepur.org (read 2026-10-22) is the 'Elección Especial Cataño 2026' — another municipality; no official source shows any 2026 special election covering Ponce. Nobody is marked running.
- Federal: Puerto Rico has no U.S. Senators and no U.S. House districts. Its one federal elected official is the Resident Commissioner, a non-voting Member of the U.S. House elected island-wide for four years. Census geocoder layer '120th Congressional Districts' returns 'Resident Commissioner District (at Large)' at Ponce city hall.
- Elected officials: the CEE 'Informe Estadístico Elecciones Generales 2024' (ww2.ceepur.org, publication date printed as 3 September 2026, 282 pages) — pages 22 (Gobernador, Comisionado Residente), 26-28 (13 Representantes por Acumulación incl. 2 PIP minority-law seats), 29-31 (12 Senadores por Acumulación incl. 1 PIP minority-law seat), 34 (House districts 21-25), 37 (Senate district Ponce V) and 53 (Alcaldesa and 16 Legisladores Municipales of Ponce). These pages are images; names were read visually from rendered pages and are spelled as printed. PDF page = printed page.
- Current membership was then checked against the bodies' own rosters on 2026-10-22: senado.pr.gov/senadores (28 senators, Vigésima Asamblea Legislativa), camara.pr.gov/representante/ (53 members) and fortaleza.pr.gov (Gobernadora). Where they differ from the 2024 ballot spelling the roster name is used and the ballot name kept in 'ballotName'. The Senate roster now prints Joanne M. Rodríguez Veve as 'Independiente' (elected 2024 for Proyecto Dignidad) and Eliezer Molina Pérez as 'Independiente' (elected by nominación directa); party is recorded as the Senate prints it.
- State legislators: Casa Alcaldía de Ponce (Plaza Las Delicias, coordinates 18.0117, -66.6142, geocoded with the Census Bureau geocoder, 2026 legislative layers) lies in Senate District 5 (Ponce V) and House District 24. Senate District V elects two district senators; both are listed, and all of Ponce lies in it. Ponce is split among three House districts per the Cámara's own labels: 23 ('Ponce, Yauco, Peñuelas, Guayanilla y Adjuntas'; Ensol A. Rodríguez Torres, PNP), 24 ('Ponce'; listed) and 25 ('Jayuya, Ponce y Juana Díaz'; Domingo J. Torres García, PPD) — only HD-24 is listed per the brief. The 11+2 at-large Representantes and 11+1 at-large Senadores (por acumulación) represent all of Puerto Rico including Ponce and are listed.
- Municipal: the 2024 CEE result elected 16 Legisladores Municipales (13 PPD, 2 PNP, 1 PIP). The latest official roll call found — the Legislatura Municipal's certification of Resolución 148 (budget FY2025-26, session of 2025-06-18) filed with the Oficina de Gerencia y Presupuesto at docs.pr.gov — names 15 of them plus 'VACANTE'; Julio César Silvagnoli Collazo (PPD, elected 2024 with 21,566 votes) does not appear, so he is not listed and his seat is recorded here as vacant as of June 2025. Who, if anyone, has since filled it (vacancies are filled by the party, not by election) could not be confirmed from an official source. The Legislatura is elected municipality-wide; seat = 'At-large'.
- Unreachable: ponce.pr.gov and www.ponce.pr.gov reset the connection on https (and gave a 502 timeout on http) even for robots.txt, so the Municipio's own site could not be read; the OGP budget filing was used instead. elecciones2024.ceepur.org (CEE results site) answered robots.txt with a 'BBWAF' block (HTTP 999); not retried. ceepur.org, ww2.ceepur.org and docs.pr.gov have no robots.txt (404); senado.pr.gov disallows only /cgi-bin/ and /cms/; camara.pr.gov only /wp-admin/; fortaleza.pr.gov and house.gov rules do not cover the pages read. No terms of use were found on ceepur.org, senado.pr.gov or camara.pr.gov.
- Public role only: the Cámara roster and Senate pages print office phone numbers and the CEE report prints its office address; none were copied. Emails are official @camara.pr.gov / @senado.pr.gov addresses. Photos are linked from the legislatures' own pages, never copied; no reuse terms are stated. No standsFor: nobody is campaigning in 2026.
- Next elections: Puerto Rico general election 2028-11-07 (all offices above). Ponce's next municipal election is the same day.
